Chez Root atm.

A Topic...uhh...How awesome is snow has already been done...

Given the altering of the weather patterns, should a month be knocked off this year so that this snow would be the start of January - which would make it normal?

Might be a picture of a snow angel later...

I'm in Charleston, SC. It's currently 70 degrees Fahrenheit outside (what is that? about 21 Celsius?). Weather is all over the place here in the late fall and winter. I wish it would be more consistent. But at least sometimes it's not so freaking cold when you get out of the water after some winter surfing.

It doesn't snow often here, though it did in March last year. And it was a clusterfuck, given the city isn't very prepared for snow and many people don't have experience driving in it (I only have a little bit from a few snowboarding trips).

Fuck snow!

Yeah, it sure is pretty to look at ... until it becomes this brown sludge or melts a little then freezes so you walk around on sheet ice looking like Bambi so you don't slip and bounce your bonce of the floor.

Not to mention being in a perpetual state of stinging numbness mixed with biting cold and soaked to the skin coat.

I can't wait to live in a country without snow ... on a completely separate note, is anybody in Australia ok with greencard marriages? Preferably woman but not opposed to being gay.

I live in London. I like the snow. What I don't like is the way that London completely LOSES ITS SHIT every time it snows, seeming to forget that the exact same thing happened a year or so before. The trains in my part of town shut down almost completely, for instance, and the airports seem to not know how to handle it either. Having moved here from Colorado (where one and two feet of snow isn't uncommon), I find London's inability to handle an inch or two of snow frustrating.

I don't get why we get so irate over snow here. Canadians and Northern Europeans just get on it with it, but we get one or two inches of snow and we FLIP THE FUCK OUT. It's funny really.

Not to mention that all of my friends status updates on Facebook are either 'OMG SNOW U GUIEZ!' or 'OMG WE GET IT GUIEZ IT'S SNOWING! GAWD!'

Not bad, Root, not bad.

I have no suitable photo's to upload to show you just how much better our snow is, though:(

We had a little snow earlier but nothing major. It's really cold though. My baby niece was really nonplussed that it didn't snow this year since her last two Christmas', and probably the only ones in her memory, it's snowed pretty hard.

It's nice enough to look at when it's all fluffy and white like that, and you're looking at it from the warmth of your home with a nice cup of tea in hand. But it's cold and it goes all yucky and slushy brown after a few days. I wouldn't mind so much if my circulation wasn't as bad as it is, seriously, I was outside for less than 5 minutes and my hands went all blotchy and purple and completely numb. I had thick mittens on. Not normal.

Well... I was going to post about how there's no snow 'round these parts. Then I looked out my window. Must've been a lot of snowfall during the seven hours or so since I last looked out...

*Sigh* Really wish there wasn't any snow here. I don't like it, as it makes it too difficult to get around.

It's snowing in Middlesbrough, or at least was, I'm hoping it'll start again soon.
