I know I really really want co-op multiplayer in Fallout, but not sure I'm really too crazy about getting MP in Mass Effect

I'll be honest, competitive multiplayer in ME3 would make me sad beyond belief, but at the same time, including some co-op play might not be the worst idea, think about it, you could have the other player as a member of your squad, while the AI controlled the other, it would add to the tactical combat gameplay, and allow you to diversify your team better
am i the only person who wants this?

Multiplayer, undecided.

Co-op good anything else bad. Although, if you ended romancing your buddy's character things might get a bit wierd.

Does Mass Effect already have starfighter combat?

If not, then that's what it should be. Bogeys filling the screen and tearing up space.
ME fighter combat bears little resemblance to the X-Wing / Wing Commander / FreeSpace model of World War II in space - unless you enjoy simulating the experience of Torpedo Squadron 8 at Midway [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VT-8#Midway].

Starships: Fighters

Fighters are single-pilot combat small craft. They are lightweight enough that they can be economically fitted with powerful element zero cores, making them capable of greater acceleration and sharper maneuvers than starships.

Kinetic barrier shields changed starship battles from short, vicious bloodbaths to extended, indecisive slugging matches. Only the main gun of a dreadnought could punch a mass accelerator slug through the barriers of an opposing dreadnought. This changed with the development of the fighter-launched mass disruptor torpedo, a short-ranged weapon that can penetrate kinetic barriers to destroy their projector assemblies.

Starship GARDIAN defenses must be overwhelmed through swarm tactics. Fighter groups can take heavy casualties pressing their torpedo attacks home. Once fighter-launched torpedoes have crippled an enemy's barriers, the mass accelerators on frigates and cruisers can make short work of them.

Interceptors are a type of fighter optimized to attack other fighters, with no ability to damage starships. Interceptors are used to screen friendly units from incoming fighter attack.

Clearly it's the return of the much loved "moon buggy" segments from ME1.
Yes well if theres any killer feature it will be vehicle or mining based not sure why they are trying to kill the game though.
Oh joke obviously I reckon its kinect based like getting to slap the reporter yourself while reading the dialogue like your in the worlds worst play, now im kind of dreading what pointless feature they will implement to try and drag out its playtime.

What IP are you talking about?
Well ... all they have.

KotOR got multiplayer tacked on and became SW:TOR, Dragon Age seems to be getting worse and worse player response as it goes along (no. 3 comming up soon) and ME3, while not even released is getting KotOR treatment if you believe the company heads.
So, basically you're just talking out of your ass? KOTOR can hardly be called a Bioware franchise, considering they can't make the game without LucasArts' permission, and they didn't even make the second one. SW:TOR exists simply because KOTOR III fell through the roof. It's not "tacking on multiplayer." Dragon Age is purely your opinion, and your last statement doesn't even make sense.

NO NO NO.
Mass Effect didn't need multiplayer. Unless its co-op I'm not playing multiplayer.

Notice I didn't use "boycott" or "Refuse to buy it", I know very well I will purchase it.

Then the game is going to be shorter and less polished because they'll be distracted by some damn multiplayer "Social element".

God dammit, Bioware, why'd you let EA buy you? You used to be cool, man.

I really hope it's not multiplayer. And I really hope it's the ability to play as other squad members (like in Dragon Age). In Mass Effect 1 alpha footage you could do that. There is an old video showing how you could play as Garrus. That video was in "Extras" folder in Jade Empire Special Edition for PC.

Gotta love how people just jump to conclusions like this. BioWare has said so many times that the multi-player rumors are FALSE. Like I said earlier... unless BioWare themselves come out and say they're doing multi-player, it isn't happening.

All this is, is rumor mongering from sources who have been dead wrong in the past. But it seems people just want to find any excuse they can to *****, so they latch on to whatever flimsy rumor they can and run with it.

The one game that doesn't need multiplayer. And what do they do? They add multiplayer. Fuckin' idiots. I know EA is behind this. I know Bioware would never have done this if EA didn't demand it.

I think Bioware shot down the multiplayer rumors (and rightfully so). I ask again: how is the story? That was 2's biggest problem.
It suffered the problem of the middle child that most 2nd parts of a planned trilogy do.

It's just muckin' about and wasting time until the epic conclusion. I thought it did a nice enough job of being a self-contained narrative while preparing us for the aforementioned big finish.

In my book co-op is always a bonus. Competetive mp in Mass Effect however, not so much.

And here I was hoping for a personal mass effect field... [sub]STRIKE FROM THE SKY BROTHERS![/sub]

Jump-pack > Jetpack.

Also, fuck you captcha and your aluminium oxide.

I'm still hoping for a co-op mode. You're always with other squad members anyway, why not let them be player controlled?
As for competitive multiplayer, no. Just no.

I'm hoping it's not shitty forgettable multiplayer and more like "Hey we saw that X-Wing and Tie Fighter games are amazing but Lucas isn't making them so we put that in ME3!"

What? A man can dream.
Indeed! Mako vs Hammerhead - GO!
Ehhhhhhh here's hoping. I'd love to see that. But knowing them they'd make it arcade-y and more like Rogue Squadron.
