If Kirby ate Wolverine, would he be able to take Wolverine's regenerative abilities or would he not be able to digest fast enough to do so?
I wouldn't think Kirby would be able to get Wolverine into his mouth without being cut to ribbons. It'd be pretty funny to watch him try, though.

Headcrabs and kryll, nobody will survive.

Master Chief and Yoda - both are green and the last of their kind.

Combine and Stormtroopers

GLaDOS and Cortana, could be very bad or very good, but cool either way.

Iron Man and Darth Vader - Android awesomeness (whether or not Iron Man is an android is debatable, but I think it fits)

Oh boy it was so great when I read Dark Knight Returns and Batman nearly kills Superman. Probably coolest comic book moment I have witnessed. They team up a lot though and technically they are really good, though it depends on the writer. Batman=Superior planning and gadgets Superman=Nearly Unstoppable Tank.

WITH MY BRAINS AND YOUR BRAWN WE'LL MAKE AN EXCELLENT TEAM!
Its more a case of DC writers regarding both as the ultimate at everything in their specialised fields. Batman would win against stuff designed by GODS (I couldn't make this stuff up-check the latest batman to see what I mean). When the joker became omnipotent and the most powerful being in the universe, Batman was STILL stronger. He is described as having such a strong will he has quite literally beaten an invading race that take control of others through their subconscious.

AN ENTIRE RACE.

As for Superman, well hes just cool in his own way and the ultimate form of good in popular fiction. Plus DC killed him off once. It didn't stick. Oh and he used to regularly beat the hell out of gods too (before most of them died- but thats another story).

Notice a pattern? They just kick ass period from plot. Therefore, both together could take out the universe.

Awwww, you are really making me wish I kept up on comics. I'm only able to get my knowledge from stumbling on articles and from the occasional graphic novel I'm able to get.

Which reminds me: I cannot wait to get The Watchmen. Its in the mail; late Christmas present :D

Team up action ~ Rorschach and another Rorschach.

I really wish I had a fedora.

If Kirby can inhale a ball of blazing plasma, I'd think he can handle an adamantium claw or two. Or six.

Hm, point. In that case, Kirby could probably keep him in his stomach until Wolverine's healing factor gave out from exhaustion.

Man, this needs to be in Kirby Wii or whatever they're calling it these days.

The Cake from Portal and the tomahawk from Peter Griffin's show Tomahawk.

"Would you like this cake? It's so delicious and moist. Oh, and there's a tomahawk in it."

I think the OP pretty much won the thread with his opening statement, but lets go more traditional. Batman and Superman.
Ta. But there was one exchange between Bats and Supes that really killed me.

Scene : A gigantic robot is guarding the entrance to the lair of the big bad.

Bats : I don't think he wants to let us in.
Supes: Truly, you are the World's Greatest Detective.
