So, I've been playing Pokemon a heap lately, as I just bought Soul Silver and my girlfriend just bought Heart gold for our DS' and I was just listening to the music on it, which is epic
Anyway, I decided I wanted the 'Wild Encounter' song for my ringtone (we all know it, the one with the swarm of bees bit at the start) so I searched youtube for it and as a result I came across this epic gem and I knew then it was my destiny to create this thread.

So my fellow Escapists, what have you found, either recently or ages ago, that just blew your mind? I'm talking things from your past. Anything from 8-bit chiptunes to an epic Thundercats theme cover, and don't forget to post your results for all to see. :D

Is confused
Does everything fit into the 8bit chip tunes and thundercats theme.
Or only music from the late 80s early 90s that kids would listen to
If the latter

Gotta go with the Robotnik and Chemical Plant themes from Sonic the Hedgehog 2. And also the entire Ape Escape 1 soundtrack. Such good memories :D

Epic music from the film adaptation of a literary epic, Apollonius of Rhodes' Argonautica. Bernard Hermann, most famous for the score to Hitchcock's flick Psycho, did the same for Ray Harryhausen's 1963 classic Jason And The Argonauts, for my money the best sword'n'sandals film ever. The "Prelude" is the first piece of music I can remember - whenever I hear it I'm five years old again, sitting on the sofa , apple in hand, watching JATA on VHS. Hermann took all the strings out of his orchestra for this score, so the gentle romantic bits are all the woodwinds and the marches - such as this - are just brass and percussion. This remains the most heroic piece of music I know. Enjoy.

Sorry my bad,it really can be anything, from a tv show or game you watched as a kid, to just an epic piece of music you discovered once.
Also, BEST CARTOON EVER.
It reminds me of this
And that reminds me of this ^^
