I hate it when that happens... I remember back when I played a lot of Guitar Hero 2, I wanted the Log so bag. I 5 star'd every song on Expert except for 2, and then the next time I turned the game on my data was corrupted and I had to start all over.

And I know this is mostly me bragging, but one of the hardest achievements that I actually got was Still Something to Prove on Left 4 Dead 2. I can't tell you how many games I got all the way to the finale on and then we just couldn't do it. Either way, the last map that I needed was the one with the bridge finale and I swear that was the single most intense game of Left 4 Dead I've ever played.

Well, after checking my achievements on my 360, I'd have to say I'm never going to view all arcade endings or win 5 ranked matches in a row on Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Perfectly capable, but just so lazy. Also, completing the Challenge Tower in Mortal Kombat.

Any Rockstar 100% achievement. The closest I ever came was in Red Dead Redemption. I had to find a fucking eagle to shoot (I think) and I couldn't do it.

Other than that. Beating professional on RE 5. Yeah, one hit and you're dead basically. Plus the rapid-press QTEs are actually harder. What the hell.

Also, Dead Space 2 on Zealot and Hardcore. I can't beat the shadow pack on Zealot without it tearing me apart, and Hardcore is well, stupid. I don't save because I want to challenge myself. I save because I don't want to play for three hours straight!

The Judas coins from Dante?s Inferno were annoying to get all 30 of. Some were quite well hidden.
Took my quite some time, but it felt worth it.

My blaster runs really hot (trophy for Ratchet and Clank crack in time.) it's literally the only trophy I don't have for that game, and all I have to do is get ten thousand points in a damn mini game. The best I got was a little under 9000. Also all the multiplayer trophies for portal 2. (I also have countless unachievables for the many 360 games I have, and a game with no achievements thanks to Moto GP 08, the game that made me hate racing games.)

Complete Prototype without dyeing... ever. Also, completing prototype on hard. That game is balls to the wall hard and trying to not fie or play hard mode is suicide.

I did manage to beat MW2 on Veteran, which was actually pretty fun. I tried it on World At War, and gave up since I didn't have an extra $50 to spend on a controller. But I beat the Mile High level of MW1 on Veteran, so I'm happy with that. However, I have never gotten all of the intel on any of the games, which is crazy because most of it is only half-heartedly hidden.
I have never finished a Call of Duty game on Veteran difficulty. And I haven't completed every Halo game on Legendary. So many games, so little time...
I have every CoD game that came out for PC, and I haven't even tried to beat a whole game on Veteren, and I mostly just play the campaign. I'm not a completionist or a 'play-for-the-challenge' type. I, in fact, never play anything on the highest difficulty or 'try' to get acheivements.

And my Gears 2 kill counter reset too...

Let me put it in perspective.

I've only ever gotten all achievements for four games.

Mass Effect 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Assassin's Creed II (I had a guide)
Dead Space

The Perfect Dark HD rehash on 360.

I saw it on the marketplace and nostalgia bombed like a melon farmer. I bought it, played it, and was magically transported to the golden years of waking up, eating bowls of sugar for breakfast, anime on cartoon network, and playing glorious nintendo 64.

I burned through the plotline, dabbled in multiplayer with some amigos, then did it again.

and then I looked at the achievements

and some part of my soul died.

I've got a long list here, so I'll just post the one that's caused me the most grief.

"Keeper of the Lions Passant" from Assassin's Creed 1.
Why? I have 99 of the 100 flags, and I can't fucking find that final bastard! I've tried everything, maps with the locations, you name it! No luck. I've spent countless hours wandering the "Kingdom" area between the 4 cities looking for that last god-forsaken flag.

Its gotten to the point where I actually think my game just glitched and I actually have all 100 flags, but one of them didn't get counted.

And it doesn't help that its THE LAST achievement I need to get 100%.
Like I said, I've got others, but this one is -by far- THE one that has driven me closest to insanity.

I'm tempted to go for Platinum in the new MK, I've got all the hard trophies just need to marathon ones, i.e 24 hours with each character.

How has no one mentioned the Big Boss emblem for Metal Gear Solid 4? That is nightmarish.

Any achievement in Megaman 9.
'Complete it 5 times in one day'?! I can't even complete it, let alone that!

Finding all the audiotapes in Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta... I really can't be arsed.

Aside from ones that are physically impossible now (I really wish you could delete stuff like Chromehounds from the achievement history) collection achievements elude me due to sheer inanity.

As do multiple playthrough ones, if a game is too dull I'll trade in after one run.

My white whale is the 2nd map uncovered trophy in Sacred 2. I've completed it around 20 times on PC, and near 30 on XBOX and 35 on PS3, I love it, but I just can't be arsed to traipse around aimlessly for a digital pat on the back.

Meh, achievements have never held much sway over me. The achievement of completing a Pokedex is the only one that I'm sore about not being able to complete.
