unbreakable spoilers here,

so yes I thourght unbreakable was a little boring but the twist at the end was definetly pretty cool (I mean I should have seen that coming..what with the way elija dressed and everything)

overall a rather interesting deconstruction of the whole superhero thing, especially since at the time superhero movies weren't big, let alone thourghtful deconstructions

shame about M. Night's other movies

anyway my main point is this movie could have done with a seaquel, that would have been pretty cool, another film I think think of is the incredibles (I mean Cars 2...really??)

to be fair I know at the moment it seems all we get are seaquels but are there any films you think that kind of "needed" a seaqul?

I would really love to see a sequel to Se7en. Brad Pitt is all deranged, and Kevin Bacon, having a mistrial goes free. It turns into Brad Pitt vs Bacon in a game of who can out smart each other.

Or something, I don't really know. This is why I leave the movie ideas to people who can write.

Hard to say since almost everything gets a sequel. Well I know Inception better NOT get a squeal. Hmmm how about Legion since well that was probably the most over the top movie I've ever seen in terms of plot, and it was a hell of a time seeing it.

Even though I hated Unbreakable's silly juvenile plot and arty pretensions, I thought it wrapped itself up pretty neatly by the end, and thus didn't really need a sequel. I think sequels are only needed if the original story is unresolved in some key way. Gone With The Wind could use a sequel, now that's one unresolved film, they should do a proper film version of "Scarlett", not just that crappy mini-series.

I think you meant Kevin Spacey. More K-Pax, less Footloose.

On topic, one that I'd love to see a sequel to, which I think most can agree with me on, would be Serenity. I want to see Mal misbehave, damnit!

For my money, a movie that really needs a sequel is Police Academy - now there's an idea with legs.

Nah, PA was juvenile. What really needs a sequel is Saw. That movie kicked ass!

OT: The thing I really want to see more of right now is a better ending to Stargate Atlantis. The 5th season was a bomb for me, but the ending left me wanting more still. I know they have a movie planned, but I don't know if that's going to happen at this point.

Unbreakable has the distinction of being the only M. Night movie I like. It's also a great, self-contained movie that doesn't need a sequel but might get one anyway if the buzz is anything to believe.

I'm so sick of sequels. (Except for Tron: Legacy. That kicked ass.) Sequels and franchises and remakes mark the death of original ideas. They are almost invariably bad, and they suck funds away from new ideas that might be good with a little bit of love and money.

...you didn't like Sixth Sense? Intriguing- May I study you for science?

You know, I'd just love another Saw movie. The more of them I watch, the more I love th- no, no I can't even joke about that.

In seriousness, I'd want them thar movie makers to make me another sequel to Tron. It's such a great concept and has a lot of potential I don't think they really tapped at all. Plus, tis a shiny thing, and I love shiny things.

I'm a lit student. The "twist" in Sixth Sense was broadcasted fairly early on (the main character is shot in the beginning of a movie about ghosts). Maybe it would've been more effective if the marketing hadn't trumpeted the whole "I see dead people" line. But they did. Figuring out the plot ten minutes into the film takes away some of the fun in watching it. At least Unbreakable kept me thinking a little more. And the slower pace put more emphasis on character development, which I've always found to be the most interesting device a book or film can utilize.

District 9 sequel and a Sin City sequel.

I know both were talked about but I would love to see something actually happening.
