Uncharted 4: A Thief's End Delayed Again

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End once again has a new release date. Sony and Naughty Dog have delayed Nathan Drake's next adventure two weeks to May 10, 2016.

Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation's Shawn Layden said, "In an effort to meet the considerable worldwide demand, and to ensure that all gamers worldwide have the opportunity to play the game on day one, we have chosen to postpone the launch of the game by two weeks to allow for extra manufacturing time."

Layden added, "We know this news might be disappointing, and we are sorry to have to make you wait a little longer to play Naughty Dog?s latest. The good news is that the game is phenomenal ? we are fully confident that it will be worth the wait and the team at Naughty Dog is eager as ever for you to experience Nathan Drake?s final adventure."

Uncharted was delayed in December to April. An Uncharted 4 multiplayer stress test is coming this weekend.

That's annoying for some I'm sure, but to be fair, that works better for me as it no longer falls on a week when I am on call. So I can play it now without fear of being interrupted. I approve of this delay.

Well there's been a demand for simultaneous releases worldwide. Can't have one and not the other. And two weeks is nothing to get pansy about.

Won't be affecting me personally, as I haven't brought anything on release day in years.

I would much rather they delay a game even for a year or two and release a version that runs well and has great content than release it sooner and then patch it over a few weeks, months, years until its working ok.

As for Uncharted 4 although I really enjoyed 2 and 3 quite a lot im not exactly chomping at the bit for the next one. Ill likely get it some time but maybe not this year or next. If it comes out and is solid I have no problems with the delays if its buggy then I would just wonder why they did not just delay it some more.

I completely agree however I am so sick and tired of games release dates getting announced years in advance then getting delayed several times! This is Uncharted's what 4'th delay now? If you don't know if you can make a release date then don't announce one! However I'm only the customer, and they only really care about making their share holders happy.
