I'm throwing in my vote for Nathan Fillion as Ezio. He's completely wrong for the part, but I'm always rooting for that guy to actually land something worthwhile.

Ignoring your obvious dig at Castle, I'll see your Nathan Fillion and raise you Neil Patrick Harris as Leonardo da Vinci. You know want it!

Okay, actually, I wasn't trying to dig at Castle as much as I was lamenting the fact that he will never actually be cast as Nathan Drake.

Also, I would be all over your idea if he wasn't already getting cast as freaking every character from history already. I'm thinking Bruce Campbell, an equally ridiculous choice. I think that maybe the reason videogame movies usually suck is because they take themselves too seriously.

I'm going to be cautiously optimistic about this.

I love Assassin's Creed, and the mini web series they did on it was awesome, but I hope they don't butcher this. I'm still bitter what they did to Silent Hill, and I just don't want the same thing to happen to AC.

Would it be whitewashing if all the actors were American? Not that I have any beef with our stars and stripes bretheren, but I'm sure there are plenty of great Italian actors who could fill the roles magnificently.
