Under-recognized Game Studios/Developers

Dejobaan Games. We, as a culture, need more games about throwing yourself off of floating buildings for points and broken bones!

From Software. Few studios can match the insane dedication these guys have to their fans. To give you an example: supposedly, one of the lead designers/developers for Dark Souls has one of those digital picture frames on his desk. What's special about that? That picture frame doesn't contain family photos, oh no, but it cycles through thousands of quotes from Demons Souls fans about what they liked and disliked about the game. The frame is on all the time while he is at work, and it serves as a constant stream of inspiration. THAT'S fucking dedication. Plus, Demons Souls is simultaneously one of the single greatest JRPG AND WRPG of this generation, and the Armored Core series just kicks ass.

Perhaps these guys are bigger in Japan, but it seems like most people don't notice them very much in the West.

Naughty Dog: it barely gets anything, brings out 2 great games and i barely hear anything about it.
