But contrary to popular belief we're not all annoying fuckwits who won't shut up, who sing all the time, who sling insults at you, who are racists, who can;t carry on an intelligent conversation without cussing you out or bossing you around.
My point is: Don't group us up, we're not all annoying

I only play a few games online, and the one I play the most is Team Fortress 2. I must admit that every now and again there is the high pitched annoying kid that pisses me off.

I'm 13 and my deep is probably a bit deeper than some my age, but I hate when someone with a high pitched voice comes on and keeps on asking questions...particularly questions like what an ubercharge is.

Same here my voice was deep at 12 I sounded like a 14 year old now Im 14 and I sound like a 17 year old and I always mute kids that have squeaky voices. I feel your pain.

Well, two things bother me.

First, their high voices produce this irritating noise, so you can't think about anything else, than screaming to them "Shut up!".

The other thing, is that they laugh hysterically, when they kill anyone. And they laugh so much, you'd thought, that they did a great favor for humanity. However, when they killed, the only things you hear are either "Your mom -insert_insults_here-" or other racist comments.

That's why there should be more protection against underage players, for example, Team Fortress 2 is rated 16+, yet yesterday I found some kiddo with "1995" in name, acting like written above, with this childish voice. Geez. That's why I'm "yes" for voice-testing in games. If it's too high - no voice chatting today, kid.

This is why I started hating to play on Xbox Live... The stupid kids. Hey, I was on once, too, with Teamspeak, a headset, and Battlefield: Vietnam. But the clan seemed to tolerate me, mostly. Still, my voice would annoy the shit out of me if I played with my former self. It's just annoying.

And since we're talking about nationalities, what was with all the British and Australians constantly telling me to "Shut the fuck up yank" when I am Canadian?

Ugh... Just remembering all this idiocy makes me glad I'm selling my 360.

Well, I happen to be 12, and was gaming online when I was 10, and I hate this stereotype. where basically the only argument is "OMG! WHINY 10-13 YEAR OLDS ARE SO ANNOYING W/ HIGH PITCHED VOICES! OMG!". Well, to be honest, I am yet to meet a 10-13 year old who whines or has a high pitched voice on Xbox LIVE.

My gaming is, in fact, plagued by this stereotype. So, before you rag on younger gamers about how annoying it is to have them, imagine what it is like to BE them mate.

And also on the "DUN BUY M GAMES FOR LITTLE KIDS!" thing... Can you HONESTLY say you have never played a game not meant for your age group? Hmmm?

It's annoying. It's good that you don't do it. Thank you for not being the whiney little ***** on the other end of the microphone. But the fact that you haven't come across someone like this is astouding to me. I'm 14 and I play M games. I think the rating system is measuring maturity more than age. People who are 10 years old should not play games rated M because they aren't mature enough.

Actually, I have very few issues when playing CS:S, since I pretty much only play deathmatch, where no one has time to talk anyway. Never played CoD4 or Halo so can't comment. I've only met one kid on L4D, we pretty much let him die cuz he decided it was better to go on the roof.
