If you've ever played an fps (CS:S and some COD4 Servers) you will understand that the sound of a high pitched under aged child makes you cringe. There are reasons why they shouldn't even be playing in the first place, let alone use a microphone to annoy us to death.

It's rated M. I think we should slap parents who buy 10 year old games; however, it is for the reason of saving our sanity, not his schoolmates in some later years when you tell him, "No." and he responds, "This will be the last time i say i HATE YOU MOM."

Experience. Your probably just screaming on the mic to hear yourself talk, but you must understand we can't go to Bombsite B. It's unethical. Camp there all you want, but no one from neither team is going to come. Spare us from your voice.

Voice itself. Ughh need I say more.

Maturity. When 10 year olds get angry, they get even. So they spam when the whole server tells them to shut up, feel bad, and throws a fit by sabotaging the team or something else.

There are plenty more reasons I would like to point out, but I just can't in 1 in the morning. I'm sure there are exception where the high pitched voice is a 15 year old who hasn't reach puberty, but they've been long enough that they're not going to hit the mic button 24/7. I think Mics should have a sound feature, that unless your voice hits this frequency pitch then you can't use it or like have the support of the server your about to shout on!

Anyone have this issue or is it just me, cause i'm going crazy!

Take a look at "The whole gay insults on online gaming." thread. You'll find what you're looking for.

Well, I happen to be 12, and was gaming online when I was 10, and I hate this stereotype. where basically the only argument is "OMG! WHINY 10-13 YEAR OLDS ARE SO ANNOYING W/ HIGH PITCHED VOICES! OMG!". Well, to be honest, I am yet to meet a 10-13 year old who whines or has a high pitched voice on Xbox LIVE.

My gaming is, in fact, plagued by this stereotype. So, before you rag on younger gamers about how annoying it is to have them, imagine what it is like to BE them mate.

And also on the "DUN BUY M GAMES FOR LITTLE KIDS!" thing... Can you HONESTLY say you have never played a game not meant for your age group? Hmmm?

(EDIT)

And also, on another not, this post is way too late.. Feel free to delete it!

im 13 right now and even i find kids annoying on games and i understand that some people might find me annoying so I try not to talk to much and in return people don't yell at me for being a kid ( witch i cant help ) so its an annoying stereotype but I understand it.

Well, I've been using an ear piece since i was ten, and I'm 12 right now, and i hate this stereo type. I don't have the high pitched voice like others, but when i try to help the team, most of the time no-one listens. Really, the only place people respect me is the MGS4 servers. But That's because I'm amazing at that game because i can't stand hanging out with friends.

Actually up until I was able to purchase them myself, my parents never bought me a game with a rating higher than T, and Teen games they asked the store clerks about first.

Anyway, this is like, the fifth time we've had this, this month I'm sure.
On the first part: ...Damn it! I was foiled again!

On the second part: Too true, but it is still fun to post in!

You know how I avoid it? I don't plug in my mic! Necroswanson FTW!
Yeah, sure, that works for outgoing sound. But as for incoming sound, unplugging your mic won't cut it. In fact, it's even worse because instead of just coming in through your headphones, they scream at you from your TV [At least in games like Halo and CoD4, which are the only games I've had the displeasure of playing online]! Which means if it's loud enough [i.e. audible at all], everyone around you can hear you getting cussed at by a ten year old! Awesome!

The only solution for this would be to mute your TV, but I prefer hearing in-game sounds/music while I play. Luckily for me, the only online I have is with the Wii, and Nintendo is never going to allow voice chat.

You could mute everyone you meet.

EDIT: What? Can't a guy like sports games?

A purely Live centred experience. I wonder why?
If you want I can recite those lovely racist jokes I heard in Vegas 2 on PSN.
I think you could, as you were no doubt the one saying them.
Zing! Nice one. Seriously no it was 4 nice gentlemen (1 was a "whiny 12 year old" the others above 15-20 possibly) It was a one up contest of racist jokes.

Reverse for me. Its all luck of the draw.

EDIT: You could play with friends as you can invite them while playing the game on live.

You know, I always see people whining about the annoying little kids on Xbox Live, etc., but honestly, it's a rare occurrence when I'm playing. The best way to avoid any issues is to not instigate. The only reason why the kids act up in the first place is to get us to react so they can start a juvenile argument. If you don't give them that satisfaction, they'll simply give up and shut up.

Though in case of emergency only, a trusty method I've found to be effective in getting annoying kids to quit a match is this little classic:

Kid: Suck my d***, f*****!
Me (doing my best Mr. Slave impression): Maybe later if you're lucky, toots.
Kid: ...(quits match)

In the worst case scenario, the preteen male's rampant homophobia can be used to our advantage.
