Hey guys, I've (literally) just finished Prey, one of what I would call the great underappreciated gems of recent gaming history. This game is really great, but I can't remember hearing anything about it or seeing it advertised. I think the only mention I heard of it was a pasing reference in a yahtzee video or something. the same is true for the original condemned; I bought it from a bargain bin as a random purchase based on what I read on the back of the box, and fucking loved it.
anyody else want to recomend me some good games that are similarly unnappreciated? (inb4 Psychonaughts)

No More Heroes, Jet Set Radio, MadWorld and Tiny Tank. All incredible, but never got much attention.

Defcon. It's like playing the closing scenes of the movie Wargames (the game of which BTW I enjoyed).

And Amplitude. AKA what Harmonix did before Guitar Hero that was WAY better, but without plastic instruments.

Halo 3...

No, but seriously I just got Section 8 (people keep confusing it with Distract 9) and it is more fun than I expected which is weird cause I have'nt seen too much media coverage for it.

"The Thing" for the PS2. Really cool survival horror title based on John Carpenter's classic that kind of continues the story.

It never seems to get talked about, but i think it could very well be the best movie-related (kindof) game i've ever played!

Downloaded a demo of Section 8, seemed a bit like BF2142 in third person, yet crap (unlike District 9).

I'd say Mount and Blade, it lacks in game direction but is still strangely fun.

Mainly because Mount And Blade was an underground title developed by a married couple.
Tis indeed so, they're working on an expansion now as well, no idea if it's still just the couple or not. Also has a great community.

I'd have to agree with No One Lives Forever and add Jade Empire by Bioware. In the annals of roleplaying games, way too few people have heard about or played that game.
