There was this PS1 game called Azure Dreams that I always found to be a really enjoyable dungeon crawler that it seems no one has heard of. Explore the resetting tower with your animal/monster cohort, expanding your stable of cohorts and the townhouse you keep them in, wooing local girls at the same time shamelessly, eventually making the tower your *****. Good game.
