Stranger Than Fiction, Will Ferrell can act!

i was surprised with how much i liked this one.

OT:

Undisputed - It's awesomely watchable like Rocky 2,3 and 4 but the final battle doesn't have any magic. Still, a great movie with excellent build up and sequences.

Fracture - One of the few great that I've seen in the last 5 years. Anthony Hopkins and Ryan Gosling play off each other extremely well. The film admittedly tries to hard but the overall product is fantastic.

personally indisputed 2 and 3 are way better IMO, the third one i have watched at least 10 times with the sweet ass fight scenes.

but yeah i'll recommend indisputed 2 and 3

I wasn't aware there were sequels to Undisputed. That's awesome, I'll have to keep an eye out for them!

if you have netflix, the third one is streaming on there (hence me watching it so many times.)

the 2nd one i caught on tv one time and after falling in love with it i went back and watched the first and then saw the third one, the third one is kinda like a 2.5, it takes the antagonist of the 2nd movie and makes him the "good" guy.

Donnie Darko I prefer the theatrical cut as the Directors cut tends to try explain it more giving away some of the mystery. You should avoid the horrible sequel it's pretty bad.

Clue: The Movie.

Possibly one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Watched it countless times as a kid and recently found it in DVD form. Anyone who enjoys a good laugh should check it out!

I know Joel Schumacher is never suppose to be mentioned for his crimes against the Batman series, but his movie "Falling Down" is seriously a masterpiece that really underrated, after watching I forgave him of all his sins again the Dark Knight.

South-land Tails: a fairly interesting take on the apocalypses genre, I really enjoyed its acid trip logic.

The Cell: a surreal look into the mind of a serial killer that at times plays out like one of the better Marilyn Manson video. But kinda falls flat on the whole character development thing.

From Dusk till Dawn: possibly one of the best vampire films ever, however the sequels suck ass.
Also I want Sex Machine's Gun.

Mystery Men: the prototype for the average guy becomes super hero genre.

James Gunn's Super: the best for the average guy becomes super hero genre.

In a similar vein, Commando. It's so disgustingly poor it's definitely worth a watch. Genuinely entertaining, and if you drink every time something stupid or cliche happens take a drink.

Amen. I would also nominate Clue: The Movie as well.

Big Trouble in Little China is probably the greatest example of this.

Ooh, my favourite movie. Nice. I know everybody loves Studio Ghibli's work, but for the love of God watch Mamoru Hosoda's stuff (Summer Wars, Girl who Leapt Through Time). Absolutely incredible.
I would personally say Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, which is actually an amazing adaptation of an awesome book, but it's universally panned by critics for being incomprehensible. Eraserhead is also one of those movies everybody should watch at least once, because it is nothing like anything they'll experience. I'm pretty sure the developers of Amnesia: the Dark Descent took some inspiration from that movie's use of sound and atmosphere. On the subject, Ringu (1998) is the best horror movie ever made. Watch it and never sleep again.

Underrated? I don't know, but here's a few good movies I've found that I don't think are as well known as they should be:

The Man From Earth (2007): You'd never believe that nearly ninety minutes of people talking could make a sci-fi drama as good as this. Go see it now.

Ginger Snaps (2000): Part comedy, part body horror, this Canadian film tells a story of adolescence, femininity and lycanthropy.

Dead End (2003): It begins as a sort of pastiche of classic horror tropes, but it's actually more scary than most big budget ghost stories I've seen.

Best Gothic Action Film Ever

It was cool. Strange how rarely it gets mentioned in discussions about Batman movies.

Event Horizon: My favorite horror movie of all time...and no one i know has seen it.

One of the few scary sci-fi horror films.

Dog Soldiers: Military vs Werewolves. Why has no one seen this?

One of the few good werewolf movies.

Punisher War Zone: The only good punisher movie in my opinion.

I just watched Southland Tales.Way better than Donnie Darko, the directors previous, more popular movie.

What? Southland Tales spends the entire movie calling bullshit on the government for being so religion based and "republicany?", then at then end, the guy from Rolemodels is the mess!
F*** that director and F*** his awesome taste in music!(I loved Donnie Darko though, but their is an absurd amount of Nickelodeon actors on it.(and Seth Rogan(and Patrick Swayze(I'm Crazy for Swayze.)))

OT: The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension, I love that movie, yet it doesn't get the love it deserves outside the nerd circle.

OT: Clue. Tim Curry was awesome and hilarious in that movie, and Madeline Khan was great as well.

Three Lions, its a British film about home grown extremism/terrorism and it is hilarious. Definately recommend you try and get hold of that if you already havn't.

Oh I've got that. Brilliant.

I think the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy is unfairly written off just because it can't stand up against the originals.
