Captain Jacob Keyes of the first Halo game. Don't get me wrong, I thought Miranda Keyes was a great character. And I know there was signifcant story necessity for Keyes' death in the first game. But if you read the Halo books then you get to see what a massively badass son of a ***** Keyes was. He appears several times and helps the Spartans out on various missions, including nuking an entire asteroid colony and a bunch of Covenant in the book The Cole Protocol. Plus, in the book The Fall Of Reach, he basically destroys a Covenant destroyer, a ship much bigger than the one he's flying and several kilometres in length, by ramming it with his own ship. He does this while successfully outmaneuvering several other Covenant ships firing plasma bolts at his vessel. The move becomes known in the Halo Universe as 'The Keyes Loop'. So he's basically a bit of a hardcore uber-captain, and he's Sgt. Johnson's superior. These facts alone make him worth his own game in some fashion...

Goemon the Mystical Ninja.

He is the only dude that I know of that beats his foes to death with a smoking pipe....Only a mystical ninja could manage that.

Raziel from the Legacy of Kain Francise.

He's a badass, a soul eater, and speaks like he read the world's most complex theasuarus, if I spelled that word correctly.

Glitch from Metal Arms. He truly deserves a sequel, I think that's all there is too it.
I remember Raziel. He was an absolute badass. *sigh* Those games are amazing, they should make new ones.

I kinda agree about Navi, but she didnt have much of a personality. Talt was a bit better (he/she was sarcastic). Midna too (actually having a face).

I think Bioshock 2 should have something to do with Jack Ryan. I know hes on the surface by then, but still :p
Hunt for Red October Jack Ryan? Or did you mean the love interest from Sixteen Candles?
I mean as in the guy you play as in Bioshock 1.
Wait I was Andrew Ryans brother? Or is that a coincidence.
You are Andrew Ryans son

An under-rated character for me would be Tseng from FFVII Francise.

He has gotten more exposure as of late on the PSP game and movie, but, I still think there is alot more they can do with Tseng, and the Turks in general...there was that game for mobile but ive never seen hair or sound of it in the UK >.<

I know. It was a dumb joke. I wonder if the developers named him for the (conservative author) Tom Clancy character though, since the game was based around an Ayn Rand (conservative philosopher) idea gone wrong.

Paine from FFX-2, she was awesome but everybody seemed to blame the lack of "fan-appeal" of the game to her, as if she'd eaten Auron or something...
Fran from FFXII. She was the only one in entire game (besides Balthier) with any personality, and her accent was just awesome.
If she were a real person, I'd marry her.

So wait, why did Andrew Ryan think we were CIA? How did Fontaine kidnap Andrew Ryans son? Why would that asian guy help Fontaine. The plot just fell apart for me.
Me to the rescue.

Andrew Ryan had a child with Jasmine Jolene (The stripper) and when she discovered that she was pregnant she sold the child to Fontaine so Ryan wouldn't be angry at her. Fontaine ordered his employee, Dr. Suchong, to genetically engineer the child to be receptive to certain audio cues, "Would you kindly?" being a command phrase that, when said to Jack, made him comply with whatever order he was given. That qudio diary where the little boy is told by Suchong to kill a puppy? That's Jack.

Fontaine sent him to the surface (So he would not be killed or captured during his uprising) as his "Ace in the hole" as he put it, a fail-safe to use against Ryan should his rebellion fail, which it did. Fontaine was "Killed" and "Atlas" became the new rebel leader, sending the city into full-on anarchy with a new spliced-up army at his command, but he still couldn't defeat Ryan. Fontaine then sent a letter to Jack telling him to get on a plane and crash it at very specific coordinates (The location of Rapture).

Cleared up now?
