The "Mana Khemia" and "Atelier Iris" series games which have golden characters and stories. With awesome battle and level up system. Seriously check them out. However most people who rather spend time with the emos from "Final Fantasy" main stream.

Speaking of "Final Fantasy" games check out the "Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles" games. Which have enjoyable gameplay, stories and characters. The best thing about the series is that there are no stupid emo characters who are emo just to be emo.

Pretty simple, what underrated games do you like or think deserve more attention. My picks would have to be Metro 2033 and the Bourne Conspiracy. Also i heard Alan Wake didn't sell too well so i'd have to pick that as well.
JESUS CHRIST!

This thread is made like every fucking day.

Grow some originality.

OT: I guess....Turok, Serious Sam, Darkfall and Indigo Prophecy.
If you don't like it then don't comment.

Divine Divinity.

Kinda like if Diablo was more in line to the traditional CRPG.
What? There exists another person who has played and enjoyed Divine Divinity?

OT: I feel as if World in Conflict is underrated. It is certainly underplayed.
If it makes you feel better, I never played Divine Divinity, but I do have the third game on my shelf over there, Divinity 2.

On topic: Two Worlds comes to mind immediately. To a lesser extent, the Stalker games.

In the future, don't yell at them, just click the report button and move on.

On your post, I found Bourne Conspiracy annoying in the extreme... though I should try it again with an HDTV. That said, I found Quantum of Solace to be a remarkably entertaining shooter.

Admittedly, Another Code/Trace Memory was never so popular....which is a pity, since it's continous story was consistently intriguing (if a little predictable in the second game). It WAS good, the only problem was that it may have just picked the wrong medium to express itself with...

Also, today i purchased me the XBLA Perfect dark, only to find that not only was the game completely stellar, but no-one was playing it online, which is strange, considering just how fun the multiplayer apparently is.

The club is a fun, addicitng arcade style points-based shooter. Pure carnage ensues during the tournament mode's final challenges.

H.A.W.X. is an enjoyable little flight sim. Get the first one, the second one is appaling compared to it's predecessor.

John Woo's Stranglehold is just fun. Really, just cool and fun.

Bomberman Hero. Absolutely marvelous action-platformer that really just slipped by unnoticed and if it wasn't for Toys R Us being out of uper Mario 64, it would have not been my first game. Yes, it's on the N64 and probably difficult to find (I'm not going to bother checking) but it is worth it if you want a great old game.

I'm not sure what to think of the sequels.
Divine Divinity - A respectable 81 on metacritic
Beyond Divinity - 71
Divinity 2 - 62

They really should have stuck to the formula - one hero in a top down hack and slash RPG with interesting story lines and side quests

Yeah, sorry about that, still new to the site. And on your post I also found Quantum of solace to better than expected, I thought it was actually quite a good game. :)

Conquest of the Crystal Palace. A really cute, simple, challenging fun as hell game on the NES.
Look it up. I recommend it.
YES! I have the cartridge of that game, it really is awesome! One of those games that are just challenging enough to keep you interested without totally pounding you into the dirt..
Yeah it's a shame that the box art is almost as bad as the first Megaman game.

A FREEWARE GAME THAT EVERYONE SHOULD DOWNLOAD CALLED YUME NIKKI. It's a different gaming experience that I personally adore to no end. It gave me a great break from the bland-ness that the industry is heading in. And it's great for people who just like exploring odd worlds and find little odd things every now and then and try to analyze things.
