Underrated Shooter XIII Is Back From the Dead

Although I'm suspicious of the fact that this has been announced only a month before it's going to release, only two words can describe my response to finally getting a sequel to XIII:

Fuck. YES.

I am gonna dust off my case, and play the FUCK out of XIII tonight.
I forgot about that horrible cliffhanger ending, thank you for reminding me >.>

Heh, I'd do the same thing... if my PS2 was actually with me here at college and wasn't still back at home. ;_;

underrated? I thought it got pretty favourable reviews I sorta remember general 7s and overall praise for it, negatives being some features like save system and difficulty? dont know it has been a while I have never played XIII so my opinion on it is pretty much null and void but I did buy it for a friend as a birthday gift after he said he would like it and I dont think he ever played it either.

I did like the art style from what I saw but I am not exactly excited about this and cant see it attracting a large audience. Most people will probably compare it to borderlands on art style alone anyway and be upset when they find its completely different.

On a side note wasnt it XIII that had a realistic difficulty setting where one bullet could potentially kill you? or am I remembering that wrong?

XIII was my first Xbox game, and it blew my fucking mind. One of the best shooters of the last generation with a great story. God I'm excited now.

Why are they announcing it less than a month from release? It's like they don't even expect anyone to care about it.

This was my thought as well. Less than a month from release and yet there's so little coverage of it anywhere on the internet. Also why only PC, Mac and iOS? Where's the console version?

My only thought would be that the original XIII didn't sell well enough to warrant a full console release this time around... but then why make a sequel at all if that was the case?

OT: Anyway, I recently bought the first game again and recieved it today, which is a really odd coincidence. I traded it in years ago and had a sudden urge to play it again a few days ago. Perhaps my XIII sense was trying to tell me something. Can't wait to play the original and get my hands on the sequel!
