A game based on Neal Stephenson's Snow Crash (read this book) would be amazing. Done right, it could be like Deus Ex with a dash of The Matrix.

If I stated my Pure Molten Awesome list here it would be seen as derailing the thread. And I'm trying to break the habit.
But rest assured that John Lennon, The Ghost of Sin and Reaperman Wompa are on it somewhere
(and not just because I'll feel mean if I say you aren't)

I don't know of any games that anyone's made in a desert setting. It could be cool...
Hmm. I could name a few with bits in the desert. Call of Duty 2 and 4. Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2. Rainbow 6 Vegas 2. All are developed desert, though.

I think it would be a good idea to put a game in a small country town, no not like Deliverance where everyone has an accent and wants you to squel like a piggy, Im talking the kind of small town seen in cheesy action movies like Walking Tall.

Why don't you just make a forum Role play thread about it? And then exclude me from it despite giving you the idea for it.
Pfft. No one would read a thread I started.

A war between two non-humanoid aliens, with no humans in it at all. Just one alien civilisation being taken over by another, and you must repel the invaders.
I'm reminded of Beyond Good and Evil... hey, they had pig-men, so it's all good.

As for mine, I'd say get more large-scale war games. Doesn't necessarily have to be WW2, I like those games.
