So, an episode of my life moved me to start this topic. So, here we go!
Some months ago, watching the Nintendo Channel through my Wii, I saw this 'trailer' for "Wizard of Oz - Beyond the Yellow Brick Road" and I was like "This is DEFINETELY not a good idea..."
Out of morbid curiosity though, I download the game just to see the whole trainwreck with my own two eyes, sure that I would put down my DS after five minutes of gameplay.
Strangely enough, what happens is the complete opposite. I play it for about FIVE HOURS STRAIGHT, with the battle system getting me really addicted to the game and the graphics getting my attention (because, who doesn't like to see an Anime version of Wizard of Oz?). Next thing I know, I buy the game and I'm on the second world (the Summer one).
Needless to say, I was impressed. Who would have thought that such an absurd comcept would work so well? Sure, they really didn't go by the movie's story, but, that's exctly why the game doesn't SUCK.
Have you ever came accross a situation like that? Like, you would bet that the game is terrible and awful, but it turns out being highly addictive, fun and well made? Tell me your stories!
