If you scroll through your TV or Youtube or whatever, you will see the classic sitcom. A family/a number of friends go through their everyday life in a humorous way. Some are good, some are boring and generic, but what is the most unique one you have seen so far? Let it be unique in jokes, in theme, in cast, or in anything. I'll say Black Books, cause A) It's about a book shop owner and his weird co-worker, B)It's played by Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey, and C) It's hilarious as hell (especially Manny played by Bill Bailey).

This isn't about your favorite, or the best one, it's about uniqueness. Trust me, Black Books isn't my favorite (although it's awesome).

Family Matters.

Probably the most costly sit-com ever, due to an amazing amount of intentional collateral damage.

I'll agree with this. Big Bang theory is hilarious.

Also (and I highly doubt this would count as a sitcom), The Mighty Boosh.

It's about uniqueness aye? Your number C argument was that it was funny.

I don't know really. I don't think unique equals good.

The Boondocks diverges from most sitcoms. You don't have the traditional nuclear family and each episode doesn't always end with them coming out better off, having learned something.

Aye, yes, a very unique thing in many sitcoms that they're funny.

And I'm not saying it has to be good.

I know, I know. Just sometimes people prefer uniqueness before quality.

Anyways, there are loads o' sitcoms that I deem funny. I guess it's somewhat easy to make me laugh.

Outnumbered. Hugh Dennis and the really funny little girl are great. My favourite bit was the aurgument about terrorists.

"Get a life" was a great, short lived sit-com staring Chris Elliot as a 30+ year old paper boy who lived at home

I really don't see what's funny about The Big Bang Theory. I know I'm in an extreme minority.

A PROPER nerd sitcom, and one that is pretty unique, is The IT Crowd. Utter brilliance.
