I'm only done my first year. I got my results back in... May-ish. I've got straight-As so far, and I made it onto this year's Dean's List. I'm very happy about that.

Such an interesting, yet odd thread for me as I have almost no touch to all these degrees and figures. But anyway, I'm halfway done with my polytechnic degree. Courses, internship, and thesis all waiting for me in the near-ish future. I'll probably go to a real university after that to study business or something. Or does anyone know anything where impatience is an advantage?

I got my bachelors of science with a 3.6 in Chemistry this May. I did a senior thesis on Zinc-thiolate and their applications for ring opening polymerization of polylactic acid. I've been accepted to a PhD program for inorganic chemistry and I've spent my summer getting an early start on my research rotations. Classes will begin in a few weeks so I guess I'll get to experience the joys of being a TA soon enough.

I had a depression during my second semester and failed four out of five classes (and got a C in the one I passed), so my GPA took big tumble and I was put on probation. I still ended up finishing with 3.213 (between B and B+), so it's not too bad. Since I have no intention of doing a master's, it doesn't really matter anymore.

I double-majored in History and Sociology (because if you're going to earn a useless degree, you may as well double-down, right? ...Right?). Earned them both back in 2010 with a final GPA of like 3.4 or 3.5 (somewhere around there).

I actually blame my roommates for my GPA decline. I was maintaining a solid 4.0 both semesters of my Freshman year and the first semester of my Sophomore year. Then I met the roommates that I would end up sticking with for the remainder of my time at university, and spent more and more time with them that I would have previously spent studying and working.

I empathize with you good sir. I had depression in my first year and first semester of second year in college so my GPA tanked to the point that I had to switch majors. But the fact that you graduated with over a 3.2 after that semester means you probably killed it in your other semesters :D.

OT: I graduated back in May with an Honors in Computer Science with my Major GPA being a 3.7. Cumulative was a 3.3 but hey, got a job 8 months before I graduated since tech firms could care less about how one does in biology and psychology. Congrats to all!

Got 5/5 in my first three years in Chemical Engineering. My university has a half old half new system where you apply to an engineering program for five years where the last two is a Master but you don't write a Bachelor thesis after the first three years. Going to start with my Master in Material Science in a month.
