It's for a presentation based on an essay we did. There's no theory behind it, I'm afraid.

Pretty much "here's an idea, write an essay, now do people agree with you?"

This is what I get for choosing Computing instead of Computer Science. Not anywhere near as much science as I'd like.

That's been addressed in this essay, in a less terrified form of "OH GOD WHERE DO I FIND NON-TECHY PEOPLE?!", but comments are appreciated- probably being in the form of "Even the people who did this thought this..."

This isn't going towards any actual research project (first year bsc), by the way, so don't expect to see any headlines saying "GAMERS THINK TECH IS AWESOME" anytime soon.

If this is for University, where are the required human experiment disclosures? (or is the UK one of the few without such laws?)

Survey question is too broad to have any validity. What does technology mean? A pencil is technology.
