You have no idea how lucky you have it. First week I was at university?

A horde of drunken idiots storms into the flat at three in the morning, leading to the entire flat getting completely trashed and one room getting thoroughly fucked over. As in, holes-kicked-in-the-wall fucked over. Other such delightful stories include:

-Some guy setting my oven gloves on fire and throwing them away
-Someone leaving a shirt with vomit on it lying around in the lounge
-The fire alarm being set off multiple times each night. Occasionally they would be unable to shut it off for some reason and it would keep going for a full hour

Is that anywhere near Kingston? Because if it is you can meet up with my friend who is to scared to leave her dorm and meet people, she is going to Queens. Luckily I'm going to a university that's close to my house so I'm not moving anywhere.

I know exactly how you feel mate. All I can say is it does get better, but you have to make the effort as well, go to the socials and honestly just talk to people, I met almost all of the people I'm friends with at Uni now by randomly saying Hi outside of class (normally followed with are you in X and how do you find it and the prof yadda yadda yadda). And even if you don't become friends you can still say "s'up" in the corridor without being a total weirdo.

Other than that I'll just second what the other Waterloo residents have already said, if you feel like coming down this way, let me know we'll grab a drink, play some games y'know just chill.

If you feel like you are not fitting in then just keep trying. Go to as many social events as possible. Never pass up any floor or faculty event. It is always awkward for a while with so many new people. It will come. Then again I'm an engineering student, so I might not be the best guy to ask.

Unrelatedly it is nice to see a fellow University of Waterloo student here.
How's your liver?

I'm in Glengarry East, nice having the Ultra Meal plan instead of a full one.
