I adore the Mass Effect and Dragon Age universes, but overall I am a HUUUUUUUUUUGEpenis splinter cell fan! I've played all the games and have made perfect stealth walkthroughs for all the games on youtube.

Is it even possible not to love BioWare?

I enjoyed New Vegas more than Fallout 3. More backstory to dig into.
I don't know why everyone is harping on about the bugs. That's probably the best bit.
It's fun seeing people stick out of walls, and walking on thin air. Just makes the game more fun.
agreed

OT: i am a big fanboy of fallout (have yet to play tactics), dexter, justified, max payne, earthbound, judd apatow, jk rowling, valve ( but not the obnoxious "they are infallable gods" type), and quite a bit of other stuff, havent played magic or dnd in over a year but i miss them terribly.

EDIT: o and castlevania SOTN, no others, just SOTN.

I'm a Zelda fanboy, a BioWare fanboy, a Bully fanboy, and a Donkey Kong 64 fanboy.

I'm also a pirate fanboy. Though I didn't really like Sid Meier's Pirates. Risen 2 is my second most anticipated game of the year though.

Oh, beyond gaming? Well, the pirate thing transfers. Yes, I do love all the Pirates of the Carribean movies. And I love visiting the many historical pirate places in my city (Charleston, SC. Blackbeard held the city for ransom. How awesome is that?)

I'm massive fans of these:
-Kurt Vonnegut
-Wilco
-Punch Brothers (and Chris Thile's solo work)
-Sonic Youth
-Pixies
-The Fender Jazzmaster
-Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA
-Maker's Mark bourbon
-The New York Yankees (and not just because I know the left fielder and Willy Randolph)

-TV Shows (screw movies, I'm way more into TV these days): Mad Men, Community, Breaking Bad, Parks and Recreation, Chuck, The Wire, Treme, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Office, Louie, Better Off Ted, NewsRadio, Arrested Development, and Dexter.

Even though I know that the dragonlance series is super cheesy and cliche, I still love them for all their fantasy goodness.

I'm also a HUGE fan of the first two Gothic games. The first one got me into rpgs and gaming. The second one is just fuckin amazing.

fallout is one of the best series ever. I love em all. Even 3 despite it not staying true to the originals, and New Vegas is one of my favourites a long with the originals.

Gears of war is AMAZING!

I'm getting into Halo more, not a fanboy, least not yet. Little late to the party I'd say.

On a side note these new captcha are close to making me quit this site.

Any and all Mario RPGs (Paper Mario: TTYD is my favorite game of all time), That Guy With the Glasses reviews, The PS1 games of both of the following franchises: Spyro and Crash Bandicoot, Older bioware games (but it's a ***** to find anything before Jade Empire), and anime (God help me, I love watching people blow each other up with giant swords and laser beams.)

I hate being thought of as a fangirl. That tends to make people think I'm crazier than I already look.

However, I'm absolutely nuts about certain voice actors (this is why fangirling tends to get me weird looks). Chris Patton, Crispin Freeman, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Todd Haberkorn, Jennifer Hale, David Hayter, Yuri Lowenthal...

Yeah.

I'm also a huge Metal Gear Solid, Persona, TF2, and Cooking Mama fan.

[sub]Stop looking at me like that...[/sub]

I'm slowly becoming a fanboy for the Persona series and against my better judgement, the 2 Quantic dream games: Heavy rain and Indigo Prophecy.

What series of games, anime, or generally geeky narrative universe could you be a fanboy of? Don't be shy, everyone's got one.
Mines Warhammer 40k. 25km long space-bourne battle-cathedrals? .75 cal, explosive bolt assault rifles? What's not to like?
Not to mention the 300-ton supertanks and skyscraper-sized walkers with guns that can destroy whole city blocks. Man, I love it how they supersize EVERYTHING.

Lord of the Rings... hardcore. All good fantasy begins and ends with LoTR.

Bioware. Anything Bioware.
This... I'll defend Bioware to the death... but that was mostly because I dislike the bad rap they've been getting lately.

**Once upon a time**
Star Wars - I'm still a big fan of the universe... but the past 10 years have really made it hard to be a Star Wars fan (But we can thank Bioware for making it cool again... ahem.. see above)

Command & Conquer (Tiberian universe only) - Loved the first 2... #3 was a worthy sequel.. especially coming from EA... #4 I have never played... will never play... lost interest when they abandoned the formula... still makes me sad.

Yeah, I love me some 40k. I actually got mad when my brother refused my suggestion to take the extra bits from his ork army and glue them all onto a wartrukk. "But, it would make it more awesome! More dakka, that's the whole point!" Then he started babbling about rules and point restrictions. Screw the tabletop game, give me Dawn of War and Dan Abnett any day.

Aside from that, I get unreasonably excited about Firefly (Brilliant characters, awesome setting), Berserk (the epitome of hardcore fantasy), Akira (The most epic sci-fi series I've ever read), and Hellboy (Everything about it is awesome. The art, the characters, the immensely imaginative mish-mash of cultural mythologies...everything).
