So first off, this has nothing to do with religious beliefs, societal views, or traditional values. This topic is merely for exploring an odd trend (not fact) that I have noticed in terms of women getting pregnant.
Ok, so fellow Escapists, have you noticed how some women have no problem getting pregnant when it is unplanned and yet the same women will have difficulty getting pregnant when the baby is planned?
I cannot understand that for the life of me. Women who are trying to get pregnant go to extremes to bear a child: they take hormones, have a schedule when they are most likely to ovulate, they have sex multiple times a day, etc. etc. While on the other end of the fence, women who do not want to get pregnant are somehow more potent to get pregnant.
Is this biological? Maybe a psychological reaction? Is it recklessly succeeding or planning to fail? I am honest baffled.
Again, this is not to offend anyone about their ability to get pregnant. I have just noticed that it is harder for certain women to get pregnant when they plan for a child than when they don't.
So any explanations, opinions, or thoughts would be most appreciated.
By the way, I just had a sneaking suspicion that this might come up so I'll say it now: No, I am not planning to have a child with anyone and I did not create this thread to ask for advice. I am just curious about the matter, nothing more.
