Do you have a video game opinion that people don't seem to agree with?

-"Final Fantasy XIII" wasn't that bad. I even rank it higher than FFIV. Sure, some of the characters annoying, but at least they're giving your something, unlike the characters in IV. As the Nostalgia Critic said, it's better to be annoyed than bored. Prince Edward makes Hope look like he has balls, Kain betrays you more times than Starscream, and the rest are just unmemorable. The only character I liked was Rydia. I guess it doesn't help that I played "Dissidia" before that game, which ultimately spoiled the major plot points.

-The early "Resident Evil" games had problems too. 4 and 5, you can at least control properly.

-The female characters of "Kingdom Hearts" are tolerable.

-That all Final Fantasy games suck ass.
-That Resident Evil 5 was actually fun.
-That CSS is as boring as watching paint dry.
-That League Of Legends is just a really dull and uninteresting game.
-Bulletstorm was actually a pretty fucking awesome game.
-That Crysis had a good story.

I hate the Resident Evil games... all of them. The only reason I even finished the first two was because everybody else I knew had and I figured I'd do it for the hell of it. I've never been able to finish one of them since and I have tried.

-I believe the Mass Effect 3 ending (original) was good
-I believe that sport games are great and people who just call them "roster updates" need to pull their heads out of their asses (it's OK if you don't like them but people who call them roster updates are just being stupid)
-I believe the Call of Duty games are still great
-I believe Minecraft is the most over-rated thing to come out in the history of gaming

I think I've covered something here that will piss each person off. OH! One more just in case...

I don't play CoD or Halo
I do play RPGs
I don't like online that much

Unpopular on Escapist:
I like JRPGs, although I agree FFXIII jumped the shark
I like consoles
I like new Pokemons
I think Half Life and Mass Effect are average

Unpopular in general:
I like FFXII
I like MGS2
I don't like first person that much

- I think Bastion is boring.

- I think combining Strategic campaigns with tactical battles has proven to be a failed concept several times, and therefore any Total War game is bound to fail.

- I hate Dawn of War 2, and I generally don't believe that point'n'click action games work. DoW2 is an action game, there is nothing tactical about it whatsoever.

- I think the MOBA genre is a flawed gameplay concept. With some work it might be possible to make it into a game. SMNC is getting close.

- I think Half-Life 1 is still the best shooter ever made. The 2 episodes got close to the original quality though.

- A cRPG is a tactical game with a story campaign as framework. Roleplaying is optional and can happen in any genre. A game that implements crosshairs is by definition not a cRPG.

- All ports from consoles have lousy controls and annoying menu systems.

- The most recent adventure game was Grim Fandango. Subsequent attempts ended up as Interactive Fiction.

- The Bioshock games did not have innovative storytelling. System Shock 2 was far superior both in terms of gameplay and storytelling.

- I liked Dungeon Siege 3, Space Marine and GTA4.

This may sound like an excercise in trolling, but I assure you that these opinions are my true subjective feelings, so help me God ;-)

I can prove that to be wrong. TW2 has exactly one branch making it exactly half as linear as COD. ;-) But yeah in reality it's pretty linear.

I don't think that highly of Valve (I really like Steam, but I'm not like "OMG, this game is awesome because Valve made it!"), I love all the Mass Effect games, still don't think Bioware's ever made a bad game (DA2 was an average game), and don't think EA is any worse than most gaming companies.

-I don't care about Link/Zelda/whatever
-I don't like the Final Fantasy series because of its turn base combat
-I don't care what you say, the two terms are RPG(refering to games made in the West) and JRPG. Not WRPG and JRPG.
-I like COD, my reason is because of the great Zombie part and the Multiplayer.
-I refuse to play WOW because of the terrible graphics. It's 2012, update the graphics.
-I don't have UbiSoft.
-I payed five dollars for Duke Nuke Forever, and I loved every moment of it. Granted I could understand if you payed six dollars or more for the game and were annoyed

I don't like any of the Zelda games and think Mario and Sonic should have stopped years ago.

I don't like any Final Fantasy game with the exception of most of the first disc of 7.

I like the COD games up to World at War. After that they just got terrible.

I think Half-Life 2 was the most overhyped piece of crap.

I can and will spend days and days playing Hearts of Iron or most other Paradox Games. (maybe not unpopular here but it bugs my friends.)

WOW doesn't appeal to me at all.

Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven is the pinnacle of in game story.

None of the Elder Scrolls are better then the others (You would be surprised how much this can piss people off)

- No interest in MW2 or BF3
- Thinks Minecraft is stupid

Unpopular with the Escapist:
- Thinks Moviebob had a point regarding Metroid: Other M, although still thinks the game sucked
- Thinks Skyrim was good
- Thinks the ME3 ending wasn't the worst thing EA's done to a franchise
- Thinks there is nothing inherently bad about MMOs
- Thinks consoles and PCs both have pros and cons and that one is not inherently superior to the other
- Thinks that having America in a game doesn't automatically make said game jingoistic

I like Too Human which was better than:

GTA 4 which was as boring as watching paint dry.

Stores like Game and Gamestop are actually good and are better than other places like Xtravision(who suck total ass).

Not sure if that last one counts.

Addendum: Dragon Age 2 was better than Origins.

-I hate Skyward Sword. It was a horrible game (this might just be my friends that disagree though)

-Mario Galaxy wasn't very good

-Reach wasn't very good

-Fallout 3 was better than New Vegas

-Runescape was actually a good game apart from the grinding

-Borderlands is over-rated

-and... ehh... Halo 3's ending was pretty good

That's most of them, though I think only the skyward sword and fallout 3 one are ones that I hold very strongly

I can't think of much personally, but there is one thing that sticks out in my mind, and that is...

That these two consoles are awesome, and extremely underrated in my opinion.

I absolutely love the Jaguar, and 3DO! There are a lot of decent games on those systems that most people fail to pick up on. Also, the Jaguar homebrew scene is some serious awesomesauce.

Yes that's a homebrew and not an official release. The best thing about the Jaguar is that it's a open system, so the licenses belong to anybody who want's to make jaguar games.

Oldschool games are more enjoyable than curret gen games
Oblivion > Skyrim
Playing in tournaments is a valid way to make a living ( if you got the skill)
