Thank you! What kills me is that they're not even true atheists. All their "Atheism" focuses on how much christians suck, not islam, judaism, buhdists, hindus or any other religion just the only one they likely know. It's horrible and annoying...

I swear, it bothered me at just how... settled all the people were in New Vegas. I mean, the Mojave was the most civilized post-apocalyptic wasteland I've ever seen, and I know it's because the nukes were redirected and all that crap. I just prefer Fallout 3 for the Capitol Wasteland's oppressive and dangerous atmosphere.

There is only hate on the internet. It's the only way people can express themselves here, it seems.

It's not like there's a difference between being atheist and anti-theist. Or that atheists don't have to define their beliefs with hate for religion.

How about something along the lines that they embrace an ideology of the progression of an intelligent species that is alone in the struggle of survival and, therefore, skeptical of and not reliant upon any outside source of power? Not "FUCK CHRISTIANITY AND FUCK RELIGION!!! ESPECIALLY CHRISTIANITY!!!"

I think that some country should grow some fucking balls and sponsor alternative energy research, and I mean fully, not some half ass commitment, I am so damn tired of paying around 1.40 a litre(roughly 5.50 a gallon). The oil companies are the world's biggest white collar criminals.

I believe the Star Wars prequels are better than the original trilogy, with The Phantom Menace being the best of the 6 and The Empire Strikes Back being the worst of the 6.

I believe Digimon is superior to Pokemon.

I believe the Wii is the best console in this generation and that the 360 is a broken pile of dribble that is only popular because A) it was released first and B) it appeals to frat gamers with it's HUMONGOUS library of shooters.

I believe the shooter genre is by far the worst genre in the history of video games, especially the first person variety.

I believe Skyrim is a broken mess, and think that Bethesda doesn't deserve the support they get when they constantly release such buggy products.

I believe EA isn't evil, and that the likes of Ubisoft and Activision are much worse.

I believe many of the people who look down upon bronies do so because they're jealous that bronies have something to love or that they genuinely had a shitty childhood.

I believe in treating every human with basic respect. I believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt, in showing them mercy, love, and forgiveness because I pity all humanity in their endless misery and suffering. Though I may dislike a person, though I may hate them, I must force myself to treat them with civility and kindness because I cannot see into their heart and judge them to be good or evil.

It is because of this closet humanism that I find myself at odds with Christianity's concept of a divine judgment, of heaven and hell. If I were God, I would either save all humanity or kill all humanity. Humans are consigned to their sins; I will not place the faults of the universe on their shoulders.

It may be extreme, but I agree. Earth is ridiculously overpopulated by humans, and it is really taxing on it's resources. Global warming would also be easier to counteract, seeing as we wouldn't have as many people driving around in cars, and not as many people using power (as in electricity). If there aren't as many people to supply with power we might just be able to survive on renewable energy (I may have used the wrong word, if so, solar power, wind and such), which would lower pollution A LOT.

OT: 1st world countries are assholes. 1st world countries are the main reason for global warming.

Notice how the first world countries are the ones who produce the most Co2. Also notice how almost all of the huge Co2 producers are located North of Equator. Guess where the global warming has the highest effect. That's right, south of Equator. We make the shit, the others have to deal with it's effect (for now).

How in balls name is China NOT red as a cherry?

not a lot to say, but i have come exceptionally close to wanting to tear their lower jaws out and not give them back until they promise not be insufferable jerks.

Although I understand where your coming from I think its is unhealthy to not at least debate religion. I think people should stop being offended so easily by others saying your wrong. basically if your going to have an opinion you should be able to and ok with defending it.

An intelligent theological conversation is one thing, being told that: "a priest should rape you in the ass for being stupid enough to believe in God" is another. The only arguments I've ever heard for atheism have been no more than belittling name-calling.

I have two things to say about this comment:
1. That is true but thats just stupid people saying stupid things. If you get a comment on that don't be like most people and go OMG YOU OFFENDED MY RELIGION! Just ask him/her why he/she thinks that and respectfully disagree.
2. Just being nit picky now. Tom Milner did not say atheists he said theists which are religious people. Although many atheists do this to.

Oh, I know that kicking and screaming over how offended I am doesn't do anything. I once got into a Facebook argument with a metal band from Norway over their lyrics. Nobody was happy that day.

I know he was referring to theists (though I have to admit, I thought it was a typo at first), I just thought it was relevant. There's no doubt that both theists and atheist aren't always nice, but the whole "You're going to hell" thing isn't as, for lack of a better word, mean as "you only believe in God because you don't understand science."
(Another side-note here: science, by definition, has no claim over the metaphysical, because both atheism and theism cannot be proven or disproven scientifically. Better that physicists and biologists and whoever else use that wasted time and energy on something that will yield results.)

Nothing humanistic about that first paragraph, I'm sure you realize this, but you paraphrased Jesus like a boss. And for the record, (I should say assuming the existence of God and the divinity of Christ, so as to make this comment flame-retardant) God already kinda did save all humanity. Jesus' death meant everyone gets a 'get out of hell free' card. People just gotta pick it up.

I think medical marijuana is waste of time, and marijuana should be sold, taxed, and regulated like alcohol. That opinion seems to be accepted by about half the country.

But I also think all drugs should be legalized. Yep - morphine, amphetamines, you name it. Studies have shown that current policy doesn't reduce the tendency of people to get addicted to them, and that the major health problems people have as a result is because they're getting low-quality chemicals off the street.
If only cleanly made drugs were sold (and all these drugs have medical uses, so they ARE all produced cleanly by regulated companies as well) I think it would reduce fatalities and take a lot of money out of the black market. It's juvenile for politicians to think that restricting availability will stop people from using. There's really very little different between what we're doing now and what happened during Prohibition, whose only significant lasting effect was to strengthen the black market beyond belief.

I dont think this will work. Why pay full price for the legal stuff when you can get the illegal stuff for half price ? People are cheap.

Okay I'm Atheist and a democratic socialist. I think that third world countries need to regulate their birth rates. Violence can be justified when people aren't prepared to reason or debate. Soldiers are rarely at fault for their actions. I have no problem with pedophiles, note that pedophile =/= to child molester. Climate change needs to be dealt with regardless of the added cost.

These opinions are unpopular specifically in the escapist community, not society at large, but here goes:

I think Call of Duty (any one) is a great game. Along with Super Smash Bros, it is one of my favorite games to play with friends, and is also an easy way to blow off steam. More oddly, I also really enjoy the story modes in every single one.

I think bronies are basically just crying out for attention.

I love almost any apple product, especially their computers. The number one benefit of a mac is that it is simple and reliable. I NEVER experience errors, and getting software and hardware from the same place just makes everything that much simpler. Also, I actually find that not being able to play games is a benefit. As a student, If I could download any free-to-play app that caught my fancy, I would find it even harder to get work done than I already do.

I find am more annoyed by atheists than by religious people. I personally believe that God probably doesn't exist, but find it hard to absolutely rule out the possibility. However, I have never experienced an attack of "Militant Religion". None of the religious people that I know have ever tried to force their beliefs upon me, or even really bring their beliefs up. I do however, know militant atheists, who do use every opportunity to expound about how ignorant or biased regions people are. When religious debates come up on this forum or other places, I usually find myself "rooting" for the religious people.

I think that sometimes my reaction of "thats just icky" is reason enough. I believe there is a reason the majority of humanity has that reaction to incest and bestiality for a reason, and no matter how much logic anyone throws at me, I will never support either of those things.

Parents are responsible for raising their own kids. Not the government, not the school, not the neighbours. Parents are, and they should be punished in some way if they fail to raise their kids in a proper way.

Elaboration: I'm a teacher, and have had a lot of parents coming to me talking about their kids. So I would say that their kid isn't doing so well. Some parent genuinely believe that this is the fault of the school. But if asked about the way they raise their kids, it becomes clear that they want to be friends with their kids. These kids have the most recent iPhone, a computer and tv in their room and no control whatsoever. We've had students who where gaming until 4 am.

Personally, I still can't quite believe that a mainstream, non-parody band of any genre can get away with releasing albums called "St. Anger" and "Death Magnetic" without anyone remarking on how incredibly silly it all sounds.

Fuck, there's a band called MEGADETH and I seem to be the only person who finds that funny.
