Well I have quite an unpopular opinion that probably came about due to my study of psychological disorders but here I go... I don't think someone suffering from pedophilia is automatically evil.

Don't get me wrong, anyone who rapes a child or indeed just has sex with a child can have their dick cut off and forced down their own throats for all I care. But when you think of pedophilia you need to remember it's actually a mental disorder. It's a sexual attraction to underage children, and what or who you find sexually attractive is not something you control. In my studies I've read reports of people committing suicide, not because they touched children, but because they thought about it and believed they were automatically evil because of it.

There are ways to treat it like most mental disorders, but they usually don't know it or are too terrified to seek help, especially since people will burn your house down even at the possibility you might be a pedophile. But a pedophile is not automatically someone who rapes kids, anymore than thinking about killing someone makes you a murderer.

So just to summarise: touching kids very, very bad. But being a pedophile is a mental disorder, it is not synonymous with being a child rapist.

Fun fact: There is no such thing as "normal" child.

In any case, my unpopular opinion is that very very few mods for games are actually good. Most have the quality of harry potter fanfictions (including HD texture packs for old games)

I love all the star wars movies unconditionally. Religious people often annoy me. My boss is freaking awesome. People who can't utilize correct grammar, punctuation and spelling irritate me (At least to an extent, if you're talking like "hy gais i liek mudkip 2 do u?" then I'm not talking to you.) I hate the ocean.

And that's all I can think of for now.

I think prostitution should be legal. I wouldn't do it, but it could be taxed and regulated, and be good for the economy. Also, if you really want to help those girls, the only real option is to get them off the streets and into a safe environment.

I like post-grunge music. Bands like Creed, Nickelback, Staind, Puddle of Mudd, yeah, that kind of stuff.

Add into this other unhealthy sexualities such as necrophillia, rape, and beastiality and I'm 100% with you. The second you act you deserve all the hate you get, but people who are sexually aroused by such things, but don't act, really need help.

Also, on a vaguely tangential note. What goes on in someone's bedroom is entirely up to them, married or not. So long s everyone understands the risks, takes precautions against STD's and unwanted pregnancies, and is willing, do what you want. If you want to have an S&M orgy, go for it. Nobody should ever tell anyone else how to have sex (unless they like that sort of thing). So long as everyone's mature and can accept the consequences there's no reason why a threesome, or some light bondage, or a little food play shouldn't be enjoyed.

All that hate for Beiber/Nickelback/whichever "artist" pollutes your local radio. Yes, I don't like them either, but they're not THAT bad.
But then again, I had to grow up during the early years of reggeaton, and I'm constantly harrased by vallenato, so I guess Justin Beiber is like a relief next to those two.

All those guys who say "I lost faith in humanity" all while being sitting comfortable in their chairs, living in a high-middle class suburbian home in a first world country, while wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt (Yeah, maybe I generalized a bit there).
Really? you want to know what's really horrible? I can't tell you, but I think accepting the fact that +60 people die in violent crimes every WEEKEND just in ONE city, it's close to the definition of being in hell. Close, but not quite hell.
There are evil people everywhere, but what most of those "miserable bastards", as one poster pointed out, don't know is that there are good people too. They just don't get that much screen time on tv.

ohhhhh boy...one of thease threads....

I dont really have any unpopular opinions...well..actually

I think people who apeal to "political correctness gone mad" or "your attacking me because my veiw is unpopular" tend to be bigots because they dance around the issue rather than argue it

why do some people call ME3 a cash-grab? cash=grab implys its got no buiessness existing..considering ME3 is part of a trilogy...I mean come on people

This isn't a flame against anyone but it probably will be an unpopular opinion around here (seeing as quite a few people are like this)....

I hate miserable bastards. I don't mean dislike I mean I physically detest them.

I believe in God and while I believe that evolution is possibly outside of my areas of knowledge/research/experience, I find it unlikely given my (woefully inadequate) research on the subject.

I think Abortion is killing a living (innocent) being and should be illegal.

I believe that freedom is preferable to safety.

I believe Zero Punctuation was better in the "old days".

The only truly OP champ was release Xin Zhao.

I think Pot should be legal.

I think homosexuality is a dangerous lifestyle, and while it should be free and protected, it is not natural.

I believe nurture is more powerful than nature.

I like Ron Paul for president.

I believe that the benefits of firearms outweigh the deaths of children that have taken place in America. (Wow, now I'm just being inflammatory.)

I believe that every person needs to be loved, and to show love to all others all the time in accordance to their personal levels of love, joy, and patience.

Skyrim was meh.

Kids are awesome, and having eight of them would not bother me in the least!

Edit: Oh, and anyone living in America who rages to ANY DEGREE about the "1%". They piss me off! "Rah rah, 1% is evil rah rah, I live better than KINGS of the past. I have nature bent to my will. In summer I am cool, in winter I am warm. I am part of the 1% historically, and right now I'm part of the top 5% alive." UGH!!! Hate that! Who CARES if someone has more money than you! Who CARES what they are doing with it, because when it comes down to it you are just as selfish as those people! Seriously, how many of those same people gave to a charity or non-profit that week? The month? My money is on most of them being hypocritical douche bags!

Whew, that rant was fun.

I hate religion. I think it's a poison. It brings many people peace, but it destroys so much of what makes humanity great: it stops progress, and creates an intelligence drain on the general populace. God is a fallacy, and anyone who believes otherwise is either kidding themselves or just plain scared. People who have faith can do great things. Einstein, Thomas Edison, many theoretical physicists are spiritual, and have done more for the understanding of the universe, but they sustain this illogical and baseless belief. Religion, in particular, however, is evil. It should be eradicated. Extinguished. Firebombed from fifteen miles up. You get the point. It hurts too many people to be good.

Also, I think that guns are more than just a device used to kill. They can be used for mere enjoyment. As a hobby, the maintenance can be soothing, just like a car. I believe that ammo should be the restricted part, not the lower receiver, and that without ammunition, the gun is nothing but a big hammer. I live in the United States of America, by the way.

Also, the post above me was not there before I posted. This is mere coincidence. Very odd coincidence.

Homosexuality, however, is quite natural. Look at nature.

Lol, that is a pretty funny coincidence.

Also, your view of religion makes me sad. How is religion any different from any other worldview besides it's falsity?

I suppose if you compare homosexuals to animals it's natural. I mean, if I am an animal driven by my most basic need to bone and there aren't chicks around (we'll say I'm a rooster) then why not hump a dude? Men who are/were heterosexual before entering prison will satisfy their urges with other men.

But again, I'm not as well versed in current homosexuality research as I should be in order to support this claim.

My unpopular opinion is that I believe atheists are just as close minded as the christians they claim to hate. Really? You only believe in something you can logically prove? You don't think there is anything in the entire universe that might be beyond your comprehension? You are so smart you can understand everything that has ever been?

Really?

They try to be logical, but it comes off as arrogance to me.

Another unpopular opinion, is that science and religion don't conflict. They are fundamentally different, and are answering fundamentally different questions. Science is answering the "How?" Religion is answering the "Who?" and the "Why?" questions. I don't see why people have a problem with it.

*Hides in corner and hopes for no responses with mean curse words in them.*
To be fair, you can't prove a negative. If I told you there was a small kettle is the space between Earth and Alpha Centauri, you could not prove it exists. Being an atheist simply means you do not think that any deities exist, much like how I don't believe a kettle is floating between us and Alpha Centauri.
You can say that a deity exists once you find proof that that kettle exists.

I guess my unpopular opinion would be my stance on racism.

Not only do I accept racism, I can even understand certain racist beliefs (with the exception of skin colour hatred. If there is one thing I can't understand, it is hating someone purely for their skin colour). I certainly don't support them though, but compared to most people, I'm rather lenient towards it.

I guess another unpopular opinion, yet one not nearly as controversial, is my view on anime. I just can't stand looking at those kinds of art styles, at all. I have had to miss out on many, many games because of this.

People who's biggest gripe of the day is a video game ending - that like totally ruined their life - need to be forcefully neutered when they raise more hell about then...say...

O, IDK...

Stuff like children being sold into slavery and then used as sex toys.
