The unreal tournament games seem to be evolving rather than being developed as each one is progressively a little better than the last one in all aspects. as part of evolution all the graphics have had a face lift and they do look very pretty the arenas look lovely and are very well detailed. The characters also look very good and here Is more evidence of the evolution of the series as all amour worn by the characters has shrunk but despite that they are still very easy to recognise as being from the unreal universe plus we get introduced to a new beastial looking race known as the krall also the weapons have had a face lift And quite a few have been dropped, weapons to get the chop are the lighting gun, the shield gun, the assault rifle, the mine layer, the grenade launcher, the ion painter and the ball launcher but all the ones left are very good and capable of killing the enemy no matter what they are carrying which is rare as with the previous games this was a major problem, I am all so happy to see that they have not made the melee weapon a noob punishing machine like they are some in other titles .

There are some other changes in the from of the addition of the necris vehicles which look like they were taken from war of the worlds and these are a lot of fun especially the walkers but the best vehicles are necris viper and the human scorpion as they can both launch them selves at the enemy doing a huge amount of damage and few sites compare to seeing your vehicles turn in to giant missile and slam it is self in to the target, another new vehicle is the hover board which lets you get about quick but if u get hit u and your cargo go flying normally to your death .

they have also slashed the number of available game modes to 6 which are death match, team death match, capture the flag, vehicle capture the flag , warfare and duel all of which a quite standard bar warfare which is an evolved version of onslaught mode from U.T 2004. also this time they have had a go at a proper story line which is that your whole colony gets wiped out which pisses you off so u run of with your mates and join a corporate army hoping for a chance to get back at the ones responsible and although a bit of a cliché this is unreal tournament if u want a great story you are in the wrong place to there credit the story line is very well done but is little more a set of arena matches are linked to gather under the guise of being military operations. The exclusion of user generated content thanks to Microsoft is annoying but not enough to destroy enjoyment of the game As this is still a hugely enjoyable game and the odds are that if u liked other U.T games you will like this one.

So
Is it shit?
No this a hugely enjoyable and fun experience yes I know they not sophisticated or subtle in any way but it is not supposed to be clever
what they are supposed to be is fun and this one is a huge
amount of fun plus nothing will ever compare to blowing your opponent to little bloody fucking chunks with the flack canon.

First of all: punctuation; use some. That was so hard to read.

The removal of some of the weapons makes sense. Assult rifle was far worse than the enforcer; lightning gun was a sniper rifle that advertised your position; mine layer was the spawn camper's best friend; grenade launcher was useless; ion painter gets replaced by the new target painter; ball launcher goes with bombing run (why was it called that?).

Removal of game modes doesn't make sense. Player mods are released to fill niches; were Epic TRYING to add more niches? And a bigger single player doesn't excuse this. A storyline in UT is like a storyline in fighting games; we don't care, we'd rather kill each other several times.

Overall, a good review, even if somewhat unreadable.

I enjoyed UT3, but I cant say that I enjoyed playing online. When you *could* find a game, I would not say that the player base was particularly inspired. I have to say I only really enjoyed this game at LAN's. However, I didnt think it was as good as 2004, even though it was quite a pretty display of whats on the inside of a person.
