Gunshots are very loud. They just sound more like firecrackers than media usually depicts them.

I am certain he knows they are really loud. He probably means state movie/game cliches don't really happen.

Everyone knows swords make a metallic -sching- noise when you pull them out despite them lacking the required metal in the seaths the make that noise. That metal would never contract during a cold day and make the blade stuck. It is awesome and practical to draw your sword that hangs from your back[sub]1[/sub].

[sub]1-It is pretty much impossible to pull a sword out when it is on your back. You can do it, just not very well and certainly not very quickly. It is really really awkward and not something you can do quickly. Try it and you will see.[/sub]

That bullets cause sparks when they impact say asphalt.

Cars that explode in a huge fireball.

And my favorite beeing knocked back by a bullet.
One of Newton's laws of motion, I think it's the second or third one outright proves that to be knocked of your feet by a bullet would the force produced would have knock the one holding the gun over from massive recoil.

Sounded more like he believed that firecrackers can't be loud.

That metal would never contract during a cold day and make the blade stuck.
...wait, why would metal contracting make a blade stick? Wouldn't expanding in hot weather be the thing to do that?

The metal of the sheath, not the metal of the blade.

This. Yes. This.

Also, Pistols are completely useless. You cant kill someone by shooting them with a 9mm pistol. Nope. Impossible. They just go into your body then do nothing. Totally harmless. Low velocity handguns only kill you if you empty the whole clip.

Thats literally what some people think

One man can change the direction of a large nation through pep talks and arguing, even though every other politician is working against him because they are all concerned with holding power over others and making obscene amounts of money from bribes by businesses lobbying to let their hurtful, unfair business practices go by unnoticed.

Wordy huh?

You know in movies, where they cock they're guns to sound extra threatening? Yeah,we haven't done that since the first days of the west.
#And while we're on subject of the West,it was NOT an exciting place of shoot-outs and duels, the highest death rate from guns shots in a town was about 4.

I thought sheaths were mostly made of leather and wood...which would do the same thing, yes, but still.

They are, the -sching- noise would require metal to be on the thorat of the seath. It would have to be on the sides if you didn't want to dull your blade everytime you pulled it out. That metal would contract and cause the blade to stick.
Seaths are usually wood and leather, some have fur on the inside to clean and oil the blade. Leather and wood don't contract in cold weather. In hot weather, the sword would expand a bit, but not enough to cause problems since seaths are usually fairly lose (it makes drawing the sword a lot easier, which is always a good thing).

Many canaries are yellow, yes, but in fact the majority of them (especially in their native countries) are green.
Not quite sure if this is WIDELY believed, but some reckon that the reason analogue watches are advertised with the time 9 minutes to 10 was because that was the exact moment Peter Heinlen finished building his first portable timepiece. Not true - this is merely a marketing trick (when the hands read 9 to 10, it looks like a chirpy smiley face).
Y'know the Celsius temp. scale? When you say the bioiling point of water is 100... you're wrong. Or at least you wouldv'e been, if Celsius had his way. For reasons known best to himself, he concieved the scale backwards - the boiling point of water, according to him, is 0 degrees (melting point: 100). Some scientists just changed it after his death on the sly.
