That has got to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. Well, maybe not the *most* ridiculous, but it's quite up there.

*MIND BLOWN*

Almost as much as that whole "Pokemon is actually all in Ash's head and all the characters of apart of Ash's personality" thing that popped up awhile back.

If this is any bit true then "YES!" Is all I must say.

It's not true. Even if I knew about Mass Effect's future plans -- which I honestly don't, except in the loosest sense -- do you really think I'd relay the story to some guy at a meet and greet I never even attended? And in such detail, to boot?

It's completely fanciful.

I was at first skeptical but the whole idea is actually pretty cool uniting both games. lol. The only thing that I don't get is how there can be humans on Thedas and Earth? How could two species be basically identical on two greatly different planets. Also, I don't know if this theory explains the fade at all.

But, I don't think Dragon Age's biggest link is to Mass Effect but to Jade Empire. I don't need to go into some convoluted theory about this but just one huge similarity between a way something in both games work.
The golems in both games are powered by souls...
Is Bioware just lazy or did they purposely have this aspect in both games be so similar. I guess one huge similarity isn't enough but I still keep on thinking that Jade Empire is just the "Asian" style part while Thedas would be the "European" style part of the same world...

Uhm this...

And yet I keep buying the new version each time they make one. Its a formula that works for me I suppose.

Wow, that was probably the worst fanfiction attempt at tying two universes together. Truly horrific :D

This seems like a fanfic but I can't seem to find the part with the gay geth / elf sex. It has to be there if it's fanfic right?

this.

its a fun thought and laugh for a moment, but no, sorry, just no, false bullshit that would probably get fucked up if it was made into a game

Interesting theory, but there's some holes in it big enough to fly a Dreadnaught through.

I think the DA and Mass Effect universe may be loosely tied together, but not as much as in the OP. I think this, because in Mass Effect, i heard someone say 'thank the Maker'. So, possibly related, but not very closely.

Probably an Easter Egg - BioWare aren't above taking the piss out of themselves :D So there's a fair few of them in Mass Effect 2 at least.

Though I kinda like the idea of tying in DA:O and ME. I don't think this will be the case there's just too many plot holes and far-fetched ideas. The read was interesting at 7:30 in the morning, so thanks

This thread reminds me of the whole "FFX/X-2 are the prequels to VII!" drama that raged up some years ago following the release of X-2. Except thankfully nothing in game suggests the crossover you suggest with Bioware's latest games. Which means it is much less likely I'll have to punch people in the stomach for taking something that COULD be true and stating it as confirmed fact.

Decent, but the problem I find with it is that Biotics need Amps installed in their Central Nervous Systems to use biotics even remotely effectively, so that part doesn't really work.
It also doesn't explain the Fade, but who knows what untreated Eezo exposure causes you to hallucinate?
No, eezo doesn't cause hallucination, but it had been known to cause cancer, if that helps.
That's why Jack is bald, obviously.

I shit you not, though I am not sure what part of that you think is it shit being shitted.

There are several tie-ins to FFVII present in FFX/X-2 (especially X-2). This DID cause a huge Internet storm over whether or not the games were chronologically related, and if they were, how did the timeline work? And this thread is very similar in that unimportant minor similarities are being examined to create a possible link between the games that would not matter in the slightest.

Which part did you mean unbelievable? If its how FFX/X-s and FFVII are related, PM me for full details. if its the other two... well, i dunno what to tell ya :p

I can almost be sure this is fake, but it is a pretty good story. The Geth thing is one of the bigger things that makes the story seem extremely false.
Fun Theory though, fun to read.
