L.A. Noire. We got no real development of Cole's character, but his actions painted enough of a picture for us that we thought we had a handle on who he was. Then...

...he got into his affair. Which seemed completely against the loyal, determined person we had known. It ruined his career, destroyed what we thought his character was, and all led up to the ending, where he died for absolutely no reason other than delivering the downer ending. Cole's lack of real characterization and how they handled it eventually brought the story down bigtime.

Repo Men The ending made the last half of the movie completely pointless. If they cut the last two minutes off of the movie the ending would have been just perfect.

I was never too thrilled on how "Twin peaks" ended, it all seemed rushed. I am aware that it was because the show was about to be dropped and David Lynch had to scramble to try and tie up as many loose ends as possible, but the ending never settled well with me. I didn't like the movie prequel "Fire walk with me" that much either, but I must admit David Lynch as Gordon Cole was hilarious (at least to me)

Soul Eater, the ending just seemed like the writers pulled it out of their ass at the last minute.

I found The Witcher 2 rather unsatisfying.

Comparing it to the previous, the ending environment and boss battle was far more "epic". TW2 seems to quickly clean-up the main plot in the instatement....
....The fact that you don't even have to face Letho (in a fight for the final time) made it even more anticlimactic but still, if you do decide to fight him, he uses the same old tactic in a larger battle ground which just makes the fight even more easier and anticlimactic

..Ok,that's it for now and I'll go back to my lurking.

fable 2
it was shallow
i mean the first one was too but it was better presented
especially with duality of most things whereas in fable 2 its mostly linear

dead space 2's ending
sequal tease

ezio's accent from assassins creed 2 and brotherhood
if it was any thicker you could cut it with a knife
i know its to fit in with the time but it seemed a joke that ubisoft didn't intended

lord of the rings
frodo's friendship with sam
whether its in the books or not idk
but goddammit it seemed so forced and unfluid
seriously it wass like summin out a bad romantic novel with glitter vampires
and vegan werewolves and abstinance

don't get me wrong i like all of them
but theres just aspects that draw me out

fable could've had actions that affect the storyline
like say
you could drain the powers of the 3 heros and kill lucien
or you could've joined forces with him

dead space 2
cliffhanger ending
have it cut about 30 seconds earlier
you know
like in the first one which made the second one more compelling
even if it spoiled the cliffhanger it sold dead space 2 for me there and then

ezio's accent
tone it down for have him speak italian and have subtitles
its less preposterous

lord of the rings
less cheesy lines
and possibly less overdramatic voices if it isstill a letdown

Ever played KotOR 2?

Yeah, that takes worst ending ever.
What ending? That game had no ending.
no your right, it continues on to this day (in my heart!)

the end of Star Wars Return of the Jedi always got to me, "hey half the rebel alliance just got blown the fuck up, but lets party with these annoying mutated rats!" and then whe Lucas messed around with them and added the clips of the locations partying (even though it completley ruined the extended universe and it's stories of what happened next!)

That wasn't what I meant. Obviously it ended, but not with anything I'd actually classify as an ending. I mean the ship flies up out of nowhere after falling into a gully (how the fuck that happens I don't know) and then you fly off, roll credits, that's it. I don't even feel the need to spoiler that. That's nothing.

As for Return of the Jedi, I liked the original ending, but I do have to agree that the added clips were a bit messed up. I mean I don't give 2 shits about the Expanded Universe as I've only read like maybe 2 or 3 of the books, but even without that the added clips didn't make much sense. First of all how the hell did the rest of the galaxy find about about it so fast? Did the Rebels have a live feed of the battle going on the whole time? "Watch the Destruction of the second Death Star live on PayPerView! Today only!" Or maybe it was Palpatine who had the live feed going, maybe he wanted to show off how he'd crush the Rebels to the entire galaxy. I don't know. Anyway second of all, why would so many people be celebrating? I'm sure there were more than a few people who actually supported Palpatine.

i love it empire pay per view!
my main problem with the expanded universe is how george lucas treats it. You authorised it stop changing it to suit your crappy prequel s!

And, what about when they rereleased it in 2004, replacing Sebastian Shaw with bloody Hayden Christensen in the final force-ghost scene. Absolutely cringeworthy... and that simpering grin of his, as though it's just inviting a punch.

Who here read "Being With Henry"? Worst. Ending. Ever. The author built up some momentum just before the end,then...It ends with a payphone call and an intake of breath. Before the conversation. Wat?

It's strange how that even though there are only two games in that series, one has the most memorable videogame story's of all time, while the other has one of the most dissapointing ones.

I would argue that KOTOR II's story was just as well done as the first one, aside from the ending.

Anyway, I take your KOTOR 2 and up the ante with Neverwinter Nights 2. Good game? Yes. Horrible ending? Yes. Even if Mask of the Betrayer retconned some of it, it still was awful.
