Any of the Halo games, which are just great (though you may have trouble adapting to the controls, as you sound like you were raised playing shooters on PC). Non-exclusives you should get if you haven't got them already include Mass Effect (both) and Lost Planet (haven't played 2).

Alan Wake... please get Alan Wake!!! It deserves so much more recognition beccause Its probably my favourite game this year for the 360!
I agree. Alan Wake is so underrated!

This as well. Also Crackdown 2, ignore some of the negative reviews :)
He should just buy the first Crackdown. It had more of a story, more enemies to kill, a better environment, and was overall more fun to play. Trust me, I played both of them. The first one was way better.
Anyway get Red Dead Redemption. I'm suprised no one has said it yet. Its amazing and I'm pretty sure it's still a 360 exclusive. I give it a 92/100 for sheer awesomeness. Also look into the Assassins creed games, since I hear the DRM on teh PC versions was horrible. I'd rate AC2 a 98/100. Two of my top 10 games.

BANJO KAZOOIE: NUTS AND BOLTS

Most fun 360 game I have ever played.

Dead Rising (and Dead Rising 2 (as the 360 also has Case Zero and Case West standalone DLC (Case Zero can give you a headstart, Case West adds to Dead Rising 2's story (Not much of a story in this series, but it isn't exactly horrible...))

Umm...

To be blunt, there aren't any. There's plenty of good games on the 360, but no good exclusives.

Although if you're really desperate, there's always Halo Reach. It's... well, it's not terrible. The ending is good.

As someone who owns RDR and Ass Creed on the PS3, I can safely say they're not 360 exclusives.

General consensus on Crackdown 2 is if you didn't get enough Crackdown in the first, it's probably worth the purchase. Since the first is cheap, I'd direct anyone interested in the series at that one. It's not for everyone, but I liked the mayhem of it... even if there's no story or real mission structure.

Dead Rising. It's pretty cheap now. You won't get an experience quite like it on any other system.

While technically not an exclusive (it's on PS3 but that version sucks horribly), Bayonetta is worth looking into - I've only played the demo, but from what I saw it's on my must buy list.

Plants vs Zombies, again, technically not exclusive but the 360 version is by far the best.

Gears of War 2 is disappointing to someone used to FPS on a PC, although the story and visuals are pretty cool, the gameplay is lame and would work better with a mouse and keyboard.

Same deal with any of the Halo games, and no way Forge 2.0 compares with Garry's Mod.

Check out the Indie games, most of them are shit, but a few are quite good.
Really? I found the 360 and PS3 versions of PVZ to be the worst, even worse than the ipod. The PC version was Miles better any of them though.

OT:I loved Alan Wake. You should definitely get that

This is pretty close to what I'm finding. I'm working my way through the most recommended games (minus Halo since CE on the PC bored me). Nothing has really jumped out at me as flat-out great, although they've all been fun. Saints Row 1 is probably my favorite 360 exclusive and the second non-exclusive one is much, much better.

But I still have two or three frequently mentioned games to get through: Dead Rising, Mass Effect, and Alan Wake.

Definitely Alan Wake, the Mass Effect series is probably the best franchise in video games right now, Crackdown is mindless fun, Gears 1 and 2 are decent, though not sure how big the Gears multi-player community is anymore. Halo: Reach is fantastic and a great send-off for Bungie, Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 are great on 360, and try some of the arcade titles like Trials HD and Shadow Complex.

Fable series is decent, but not great, Lost Odyssey if you like long RPG's :).

the only exclusives i can think of worth getting are limbo, lost odyssey, and the three halo games. most great 360 games are actually available for the pc.

also, shame on you! just because you're a pc gamer doesnt mean you shouldnt keep up with recent gaming news and such for everything!

Is Alan Wake a 360 exclusive?

EDIT: Just checked, indeed it is.

Fable II, and III are also exclusives. Haven't played the III but I enjoyed the second.

Granted, you probably wanted our opinions, but at least you can see every exclusive now.
According to Microsoft and Lionhead Fable 3 does have a pc version on the way but they haven't said much about it recently.
