I actually played this game and I would probably say that Cappel was one of the worst protagonists i've seen in a game for a quite a while. What is really strange though is the fact that he is supposedly a pacifist throughout the first quater of the game despite the fact that you have to kill hundreds of soldiers and generic monsters within the first hour of gameplay only for him to then complain about how violence is wrong and pointless. To be honest the only real highlight of this game I thought was the combat system and even that was fairly shoddy (and easily broken) at the best of times.

All that said though good commentary.

Very true. I really do like this game though besides its flaws.
On a side note, if playing on the hardest difficulty lvl those two guards you fight are the hardest enemies in the entire game. They have about 180hp each and you hit them for 1-3dmg plus they can kill you in four hits.

This was possibly the funniest webisode they've done yet in the Unskippable series... no offense guys but some of your material recently has been very hit or miss... but you have redeemed yourselves once again!
Comedy gold at it's finest!

Yea I was starting to get disappointed with Unskippable,

I think thats because they were breaking one of the major rules of MST3Kism,

but this one redeemed them.

"If the audience doesnt know it, you dont know it"

Well its the rule of not making a joke based on something that hasnt happened yet. If you look at how the MST3K boys riff, they only do jokes about a subject if everyones seen it happen, so its like its their first time watching it. Rather than putting jokes in before hand, for example:

Say a guy is walking around a corner and is about to get hit by a hammer, the MST3K way is to say a joke after he has been hit like "Its hammertime!" rather than lead up to it by saying "Better watch out behind that corner its...(Turns Corner) hammertime!"

And yes I know bad joke but you get what im trying to say. Im not insulting you guys for doing this, because its a whole different style of comedy, its just something That MST3K does differently and in my opinion better.

But thats why Im saying I loved this episode so much because you didnt use any kind of pre-knowledge jokes, or if you did it was very subtle. To me my top 3 favorite episodes of yours have been "Dead Rising" "Grandia" and "Infinite" I think if you can do the caliber of that every episode you guys will hit it bigger than just the escapist.

Also if you disagree with me please feel free to comment, I could be completely wrong for all you know haha.

I wholeheartedly agree with you there.
"I love my legs, I think my right leg is my favorite" *gets shot in right leg* "Oh no, my favorite leg!"
Thats not funny. But if the first quote would be of something randomly stupid it would be more funny.
"Wait a minute, they said this mansion would have lots of tiger statuettes!" *gets shot in right leg* "Oh no, my favorite leg!"
That works much better (if the first stuff actually was funny, that is.)

All of the Unskippable videos have been great, and this one is no exception. I can't wait for the next one.

I believe the question that should be asked is, How the hell does a whiney ass flute player get mistaken for both a powerful warrior and a lord?

We know that rule well, but I can only pinpoint two places that we've actually broken it.
And, again, as I said in the thread for Quantum of Solace, the reason we made those jokes (at the beginning of that video only) is because the scene is taken shot-for-shot from the end of Casino Royale, a movie we love, so the moment it started we knew where it was going. We assumed anyone who'd seen Casino Royale would also know.

We actually made that joke to each other on our first viewing of that scene.

The other one is the "falling off a horse" joke from Two Worlds, but I don't have a good defense for that one, it just made us laugh.

You should play the begining of Tales of the World. The main character of that game is almost as bad as this one, though he does toughen up later on and become awsome. I mean, he's voiced by Vash the Stampeed, can't go wrong with that :D

I'd never watched MST3K before, a friend of mine showed it to me after I'd showed him this, lol. Ya'll are doing just as good a job as they did, can't wait to see todays episode (as I just watched tghe last one about three hours ago.)
