I really hope you do the Final Boss cutscenes for Revengeance.

They're nuuuuuts.
I think it should be an Unskippable tradition to set a side a whole month for Metal gear cutscenes, like they did with MGS4.

I feel like there are two types of Metal Gear fans. Those that take everything Kojima wrote as faultless works of art, and people like me who see Kojima just throwing in whatever ridiculous characters and scenarios he can get away with. The former I assume are the ones who are going to hate this game.

I also hope that they don't fix that end for this video, it seems so appropriate that Graham's comment got 'cut'.
I'm a little in both. I play the games all the way through to find what other craziness they can throw at me, for the challenge of a unique experience, and some of the games' story moments leave a real emotional impact. For that, I mean real, genuine, gets-me-in-the-feels moments, not whatever malarkey that guy who made Heavy rain and Beyond: Two Souls is going for. You know, the guy whose face Jim Sterling made a mask out of and is apparently making his arch-enemy.

No, I totally get that. The ending for MGS3, finding out why the Boss did what she did, have to admit, I thought was really well done. But for every moment like that, there seems to be more than the fair share of stuff where I'm wondering what the heck Kojima was thinking.

What was the one-liner, Graham? WHAT WAS IT?!

But yeah, those soldiers are pretty terrible. If they had just shot the guy when the came out of the APCs instead of waiting for him to turn and grin, they would be in considerably fewer pieces.
They should have just shot him as soon as he drew his sword. It doesn't matter if he's just a crazy person, he's clearly trying to kill someone.

Does the entire game run on cool-but-impractical?
Hideo Kojima's CAREER runs on cool-but-impractical.
Yes, I know he had little-to-nothing to do with this game. But I had to say it.
Not to mention Platinum Games' corporate message: "We make things look cool."
They built their company on cool-but-impractical.

But they're so very good at making shit look cool!

OT: Yeah... Revengence really needs to be judged on its own merits and not as a Metal Gear Solid game (which it isn't even titled as, but still), and as it stands it's a great fun and ridiculous hack n' slash game with some dumb-ass stealth mechanics thrown in only for the sake of putting in the cardboard boxes.

The boss fights are to me where the games shines brightest because they're pretty cool and imaginative with a kick-ass soundtrack. Shame we're probably not getting any commentary on the giant spider boss fight from later on in the game.

I actually rather liked the cutscene until an armored escort consiting of at least three APCs decided to stop for a guy ambling down the road. Maybe Kojima should have ditched the whole thing and made West Wing: Generoghanda instead.

My guess is that the missing quip is "Everybody split!"

An incisive joke. I'm hoping they can cut it back in. Graham's got the comedy chops for it.

Okay, I'll stop.

Well at the very least for this iteration of Metal Gear they cut to the chase quite bluntly. Like,

1. Prime Minister in a limo
2. Raiden protecting Prime Minister
3. CYBORG NINJAS AIMING FOR THE PRIME MINISTER
4. Plot Twist: Raiden is also a Cyborg Ninja
And then Graham attempts a cheese one liner, but he couldn't quite get it. He was cutting it close there anyways.

Anyways, it's nice to see Unskippable is still a hoot.

Yeah, I as a transhumanist found what some high-ranking person involved with this game said (along the lines of "it's okay to kill robots and cyborgs, they're not human") to be quite disturbing.
