Great episode, Unskippable is fast becoming my favourite series (sorry Yahtzee).

I'm really interested in learning what kind of backwards-ass logic led to the Escapist determining that forcing an ad for Unskippable at the beginning of Unskippable episodes would somehow be profitable.

We get lots of jokes with lots of dialogue, and lots of jokes without. They're just different jokes.

Also, the "Press X for Trippy Flashback" option... we decided not to go with that so it was more like someone just straight watching it, and also because Snake's silent pauses are funnier.

Question have yall played the other MG/MGS games and have yall beaten this game as well?

I have played and beaten MGS1, MGS2, MGS3, MGS4 and both Ac!d titles for the PSP.
I'm actually kind of a fan.

Um... Just pointing this out but isn't Unskippables supposed to be making fun of... well... Unskippable cutscenes? These can all be skipped.

Your not the first to say this. In fact about once ever three episodes someone brings this up. They answered in the first few times but they don't any more, so I will. Not all the scenes are actually "unskippable", It's just meant to be a name. If they only chose unskippable scenes then they would be seriously limiting there choices.

Is that what that was? I figured it was a Skip button, but that would be too damn easy, wouldn't it?

during these cut scenes you press X button to see flashbacks of other characters. When snake said FOXDIE "you get flash backs of Naomi the women who injected into you and people that specific people it killed." And some times during some cutscene you press L1 to see from Snake's point of view and you can also pause the cut scenes if you need a bathroom break.

On the pausing thing...just like a movie. Because these ARE movies.

hilarious but i found it hard to enjoy because i kept wondering, whats the deal whit the hand exploding.

The ending to Metal Gear Solid when Snake kills Liquid's body with a missile and his hand flies away to be picked up later by Ocelot thus keeping Liquid alive through the entire Metal Gear Solid Series. You should play through the games. If you already have then you should facepalm yourself for a minute.

The dramatic pause moment then skipping the flashback sequence reminded me of the dramatic pause in MGS 3 right before you finish The Boss at the end of the game.

It got to the point where I had to check the subtitles to see if Snake was actually saying some of those things

I too was fooled by the very good voice skills till I saw the subs and how they didn't match.

I never played Metal Gear Solid, but now I know that Snake is old because he is sick of oldiness... not that he is old, because that makes tottal sense. Here I thought that the end of this story was close, and he still can get younger by finding the cure... or cloning himself.

Anyway, I really like this one and this map and select screen joke was strong

As usual everyone finds a way to torment MGS4, good job as well that game has something wrong like it wants to be a movie with little gamepaly or whatever.
