I can't believe there wasn't a single Resident Evil 4 reference in there. When I saw those guys going crazy, I was certain a few Las Plagas would pop out.

(Was the audio on the opening and closing a lot louder than in the actual thing for anyone else?)

Five episodes... and only act one? Is there a world record for most/longest cutscenes?

Well, that was interesting. But it's probably a good thing to move onto a different game, since this wasn't quite as funny as the others.

I liked a few of the lines, but overall, I eagerly await what you guys do next week.

These 5 videos have effectively prevented me from ever playing that game. Ever. Thank you guys for saving me from that um... game? movie?

Does everybody realise that there is in fact a reasonable amount of gameplay time in this game? Not to mention lots of replay value, if you want to get all the special items and weapons.

I loved the part about how to avoid your fate Snake had to fulfill his destiny.

Brilliant stuff

I like how the comic relief (The one with the ski mask) was the only one not effected by the mind attack.

Though he probably didn't have much of a mind/brain to being with.

Still, pray to whatever religion you believe in that there will NEVER be another fan-requested Unskippable again. Get some rest G&P, you both need and deserve it.

I could see you were starting to run out of material for this but some of the jokes here were solid gold. Brothers in Arms? Genius.

Don't let it put you off MGS3 at least, it has lot of cutscenes but no where near as long and much more entertaining too, not to mention the gameplay is way more original while MGS4's boss fight are derivative and overall very meh, MGS3 has some of the most epic boss fights in recent gaming history.

How many cutscenes are in this game again? I mean, Christ.
Well....... If you skip the all the cutscenes and play the game really well like a speed run you can complete it in 5 hours.

but add casual playing and the cutscenes and then it goes up to about 15 hours.

So yes there are alot of cutscenes but does that make it bad ?

You can very neatly avoid both MGS2 and MGS4 (which I believe are the weakest in the series) as those two games plots tie into each other a lot but not so much with MGS1 or MGS3. MGS1 and MGS3 go together well, tell a very different and much more (for Kojima at least) down to earth story.
I can see where you are going, but having played MGS1 over and over as a kid, I would have played MGS4 just for the fact that it let me revisit Shadow Moses again, and made it feel terribly, terribly nostalgic.

Hmm... having played MGS4, in my opinion it is not a very good reunion, going back to... wait... you have heard of spoiler tags haven't you? I added them in for you. So people are anal about spoilers, not me, but I don't want any trouble.

If I had my way, considering all the other ridiculous and honestly badly thought out things that happened in MGS4 and MGS2 as well, I would prefer it if the overarching story was retconed to end with the end of MGS1 as Snake rides off into the sunset with Meryl (or Otakon)... and Liquid STAYS dead.

MGS3 is so under-rated. I don't know why, maybe people just don't like the idea of such a high tech series being set in the 1960's but I'm telling you, it works so well.
