And I can't figure out if that village was preparing for their gay pride parade later with all the assless chaps.

I'd much rather fight that fire breathing dragon than look at that dudes ass less chaps and thong combo any longer.

For me I think it's less the assless chaps (although 0_o) - every younger dude in town seems to be wearing them - and more the, er, dramatic angle you first see them from. I'm pretty sure there was no actual reason for them to 'film' him from behind and below while he climbed up onto that thing. That entire sequence was solely to display the assless chaps/thong combo, I'm sure of it.

Does it become an integral game component later? It must be significant! =P
