I never watched these before, but from my icon you can probably guess why I watched this one. Quite entertaining.

For those who haven't played, I don't recommend starting with 3 as Onimusha Warlords is a direct prequel. And if you've got an Xbox/360, play Genma Onimusha instead. Same story as Warlords, just a LOT more gameplay.

Lol well done. Every week you guys just keep getting better. I am a bit disappointed about the lack of the moon reference though.

The joke about the moon being larger in Japan sort of was the reference. We were just so surprised at the size of the moon again.



Also, as a couple people have pointed out, it might seem like we're targeting JRPGs a lot, but we really aren't trying to. In fact, we've only done three so far (Eternal Sonata, Grandia III and Digital Devil Saga). Two Worlds is an RPG, but not from Japan. I think the confusion is with games like Dirge of Cerberus and The Bouncer that are made by Square, but are action games.

In any case, it all comes down to games with intros that take themselves seriously. And we'll use whatever we find. There's more JRPGs coming too.


Fun Fact: Paul and I probably watch 5 times as many terrible opening scenes as we can actually use.

I think they want to keep these videos within a moderate time limitation, or, conversely, they're going to do the ending cutscene from MGS4. We might have to give them a month instead of a week, though.

Anyway, I've never played the Onimusha games... though I might just have to because of this.
