I still think Cappel from Infinite Undiscovery was worse, but I have to say Rush seems pretty incompetant. Of course, I blame most of that on the English voice acting. All JRPGs are worse with English dubs.

actually if you think about it this cutscene is sort of like a combination of the Infinite Undiscovery one and the Last Sonata one. This idiot seriously does remind me of Chappelle (Spelling?) or whatever his name was. Did they have the same voice actor or something?

It wasn't really a GTA-specific reference. A lot of games do that, especially RPGs.

You know, in all its stupidity the cut-scene itself was almost more funny than Paul and Graham's comments. I laughed at the part when he screamed like a warrior then passed out.

I have to agree, I want to see more of this. They have done some pretty humorous stuff with this series thus far. There is the chance, of course, that there is only a minute or so left, and they have already decided that it had so little comedy value that it wouldn't be worth trying.

Actually, on the topic of "Let me go": Yes, that line has worked. Once. For a very important person. The savior of the human race.

John Connor.

In T2, the T800 (Arnold) held John on his jacket whereas John said "Let me go". And the T800 did. Afterwards, John finds out the T800 is programmed to obey to his commands. Which he tests by letting him stand on one leg. A hilarious scene follows.

A pity you didn't skip a little ahead. The part where some random Lord/Prince/Froffy Man listens to your story and drops everything in the middle of a war to assign his four generals to tend to your every need was the most surreal moment I have ever had in ANY game. Including those weird Japanese ones where you're not quite sure *why* you should be terrified, only that you *are*.
