For those who don't really know: Gae Bolg [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gae_Bolg] Another example of Japan ripping off ideas from the mythology of other countries because they think it's cool and exotic.
Something that Western culture never does under any circumstances. ;)

Heh. I considered adding a line like "Of course so does every other country out there, JRPGs are just easier to pick on" but I had trouble phrasing it to sound as funny as it sounded in my head, so I gave up on it.

Don't know how many times I had low health and this game refused to allow me to health myself. they don't use exp. to build your characters but how many fights you had and you to fight a lot of monster to get items to upgrade weapons some of these items have 1.5% drop rate you should start to see the problem.
Well that's why they are rare items...besides, you obviously don't understand the battle system - and it's learning the system and working out strategies that makes this game enjoyable. First of all you're not supposed to fight most creatures, having a high battle rank is a bad thing as all bosses scale with you, you're supposed to fight stronger enemies than you - fighting weaker enemies doesn't help.

Well seeing that the game punishes you for fighting monster and have such a low drop rate you have load a previous save then fight all over again. Take Godwood Timber I heard people playing for a month plus before getting it. It a single player game not an m.m.o.. And battles took way to long what should take 5min will end up takeing 30-60min.

The story is crap to say the least. Your parent are two the most famous people in the land everyone knows your sister but no one has a clue to who you are.
You live on an island in the middle of nowhere and your parents are only famous because they research Remnants by travelling to "The Sacred Lands"...why would anyone know you? The story isn't as bad as you claim - sure the ending is terrible, some character cliché and the start confusing - but the world was interesting, a few character stood out and there were some nice cut-scenes.
Your sister live on the same island as you and yet emma or emmy whoever was the mother know her by name.

OT: Hilarious as always - in fact watching this has made me want to go replay the game again...

I enjoyed the combat in this game a lot but I can't wait for them to get to the first "my lord" and David's London accent.

But more to the point, a well respected western RPG company would steal from eastern culture and make a right pigs ear of it. *cough* jade empire *cough*

Last Remnant also has another techno-magical widget called Rubber Soul which is a better evil theft of our precious western culture. They should do a JRPG where all of the weapons and special attacks are named after Beatles stuff.

Huh. My brother had this in his game bag he brought when he came over for Xmas. I picked it up and asked him what it was and he simply stated "Oh. Yeah. You're not going to like that." I assumed it was either porn or... well... this. Now I know which one.

I don't think it's coincedence that I watched this cutscene while watching Jason and the Argonauts (such a cheesy ass movie). Thanks to Unskippable, The 360 exclusive RPGs have been dashed to pieces before I wasted money on them. Thank you again for not making me buy a 360.

Oh..uh nevermind.

First of all that was some of the worst editing I've ever seen - you should learn the forum code if you're going to try and space out your points like that...

Secondarily, so long fights makes the game bad does it? And what's all this rubbish about Godwood Timber have t do with anything...you're not really getting any point across with this...

Your sister live on the same island as you and yet emma or emmy whoever was the mother know her by name.
Ok...that was incredibly difficult to decipher, but you're basically saying that effectively a royal advisor wouldn't have knowledge of Irina, despite her power...why wouldn't she know, Emma would have a large number of contacts, including Lord David who could meet with the council/research group....ugh, why am I even bothering to explaining this to you, effectively yes it makes sense that they would know of Irina.

Oh, so this was the reason I love Unskippable...Yeah, like I needed a reminder. This is hilarious.

But I got to admit, JRPGs do a wonderful job in providing high quality raw material for Paul and Graham to refine into funnies. A real gold mine.

That was funny, and also happy one year Unskippables. Sometimes I wonder if Square Enix ever even play there games before they release them.

Even the combat is cutscenes?! Oh my god, it's worse than Xenosaga! At least in that game you got to ACTUALLY DO THINGS!
