So we have a good few movies coming up that people are excited for.
The list, that I think people might be pumped for or want to critisize on.
Fifty Shades of Grey: Expected to see a small poster, but no there is a huge standee for it
Star Wars Episode VII: The lightsaber, reminds me of a knight back in medival times carrying a sword
Exodus Gods and Kings: I already see a typo in the name.
Night at the Museum 3: Already expecting many, many, many tears
Annie: From red hair to big hair, and for orphans they all seem to have access to some really good phones.

I'm trying not to get too excited about Star Wars.

Not sure how I feel about Abrams running the show. I honestly didn't care too much for the new Trek, though I think that's more to do with writing than directing.

Much of what I've heard is encouraging. Practical effects where practical (i.e. puppets and suits instead of CGI), reuniting original cast, essentially ignoring the prequels, all that sounds good. Chucking EU out the window means I can be surprised by the plot, though I'm not well versed enough in canon to remember what happens thirty years after Palpatine's death anyway. I remember the Zahn trilogy and that's about it. Crossguard on the saber is pretty dumb but that's a mere nitpick.

Looks good, but then the prequels looked good too, and they were....let's be polite and say a mixed bag. As long as Force Awakens doesn't actually suck, I'll enjoy it.

Well the hopes that we can hold onto with the release, is that it is tied in with disney. I can barely recall on a bad disney movie. That being said, lets hope none of the cast starts doing a musical number. Second, pray with me, that jar jar binks is dead. The opening, I hope, opens with an over look of graves from the dead and jar jar binks is in the numbers.

You can't recall bad disney movies? Really?

You realize that The Lone Ranger was disney right? So was John Carter, the Planes movies (you know those movies that are Pixar's Cars, but with Planes), Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3, and the Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland, and those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head (and don't ask me why I can think of Beverly Hills Chihuahua off the top of my head).

The fact that Disney is involved doesn't automatically give it some amazing seal of quality.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the JJ Abrams Star Wars movie. I expect it to either be decent, or mediocre, but not outright bad.

As far as what I think about the rest of the movies on your list, I don't. I don't think anything about them. I could not care less whether they turn out good or bad. In fact, I forgot that most of them existed until this moment.

I'm actually slightly intrigued by the new Jurassic Park movie. I like that it's going for full-on futuristic dinosaur action in this fun 'future meets prehistory' kind of way. Ofcourse it's going to be dumb, but then I'm of the opinion that the franchise on a whole (yes, even the first movie) is kind of dumb anyway. This new movie seems to wanna forego any sort of seriousness and just have some fun, and I think I'm alright with that. Also, riding a dirt bike accompanied by a pack of raptors..? Yes please!

Star Wars: Fuck yeah. New lightsaber's cool, and it'll be nice to see the ole Falcon again.
Jurassic World: Fuck yeah, dinosaurs.
Annie: I'm glad they used a black girl, because I'm Scandinavia's biggest fan of the old comic strip, and seeing a ginger Annie with actual puils and irises was just too uncanny valley for me.
Fifty Shades of Grey: Not worthy of my time. Cheap trash for lovers of cheap trash.

The only movies I'm looking forward that I can think of are Inherent Vice and The Hateful Eight.

EDIT: Also Jupiter Ascending. The Wachowskis are always interesting to watch, even when they fail miserably.

The only movies I'm looking forward to in the next 12 months are Age of Ultron and Ant Man. Nothing else has really pressed my buttons the right way so far from what I've seen, Jurassic World and The force awakens being chief amungs them.

I saw all the trailers and I can't say I'm expecting anything from them. All of it looks like boring/stupid re-used rubbish, even if it technically isn't. They really don't make anything for me anymore.

It's the next Twilight for the movie studios to milk young teen girls and their moms of their money next.

I consider myself blessed that I was never that into the SW franchise. As a result I'm not that hyped about this movie and I think that the broadsaber is as dumb as the saberstaff from ep 1.

If I'm gonna go watch a overproduced bible movie about Moses i'll stick to the Heston version.

I remember a time when Ben stiller was funny, Mystery Men and Zoolander, what happened to that? Oh yeah this crappy series and others ruined it.

Having been bombarded by Shirley Temple movies when I was young I grew to dislike this type of movie so despite the presence of Jamie Foxx I'll pass.

I never get too hyped about stuff so I am usually pleasantly surprised about most movie, or maybe I just have bad taste in movies.

The new Star Wars looks ok, I'll go see it & it'll be a good waste of a couple hours.

Fifty Shades of Grey? Porn on the big screen, that's what that is right? Huh...

Another bible movie. Ok, whatever.

No more Ben Stiller, never liked the guy.

Annie?... No not my thing...

I think Jurassic World will be good too, but I am worried that they are going in a "Planet of the Apes, but with Dinos" direction. Not sure that's a good thing.

I'm waiting for the movies that come out quietly and go under the radar.
Very recently, this great sci-fi movie came out called Predestination, starring Ethan Hawke.
The movie is amazing, yet in most parts of the world, it didn't even get a cinematic release yet (it's coming to where I live on December 5th and although I've seen it on dvd already, I think I'll go see it on the big screen just to support the makers):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcQacCfi_pw

I still want to see Jupiter Ascending, it might be the Wachowski's last big budget movie (if it bombs):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4ZzMkDLjWI

Selfless might be good:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2140379/?ref_=nv_sr_3

I'm still waiting till Birdman finally starts playing where I live:

Also, after the last Mission Impossible movie, I'm looking forward to the next one (but that's coming out next December).

Mainly though, I'm going to be looking out for the movies that didn't get a wide release (or a cinematic release at all) and didn't have a big marketing campaign. They're usually much less predictable than the mainstream movies.

Exodus: Gods and Kings looks truly awful. Most others don't seem too bad, and I've liked the Hobbit films so far.

Hmm... I'll just go through the thread here...

Fifty Shades of Grey: Eww.
Star Wars Episode VII: As others have said, I am glad I am not invested in Star Wars. I watched the teaser, and it wasn't bad, but the thing that keeps coming to mind when i think back on it is 'My god, that lightsaber looks straight up retarded.' I'm thinking that's how the movies going to be as a whole - Overall not bad, but with a lot of parts that will make you tear your hair out.
Exodus Gods and Kings: Not particularly impressed or excited, but I'm always willing to give Christian Bale the benefit of the doubt.
Night at the Museum 3: Don't care.
Annie: Don't care.
Jurassic World: The trailer has me stumped on this one. The setting is good, but the premise (Trained dinosaurs vs. Genetic Abomination) has me nervous. Chris Pratt is bringing me in on this one though. I'm going to treat this movie like I did Interstellar - Very, very cautiously, with controlled enthusiasm.
Inherent Vice: Never heard of it, checked IMDB, don't care.
The Hateful Eight: Quentin Tarantinom, American Civil War Era, Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell. Auto-watch.
Age of Ultron: James Spader as Ultron. Would get in on this even if I wasn't an MCU fan.
Ant Man: MCU fan, and I'd like to see where they take this. Weird pick for a solo movie got my attention.
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" I like the Hobbit movies. I know that makes me weird, but so what? Seeing it.
Vampire Academy 2? - Don't know, don't care.
Jupiter Ascending: One can only hope this kills the Wachowski clan for good. Don't care.
Predestination: Never heard of it before. Checked. Intrigued. Will have to look into this one more later.
Selfless: Don't care.
Birdman: Will see. Looks fun.
Mission Impossible: Next One: Nope.

That's about it.

What set me to not watch the movie was the Gods part. Cause you know everyone knows that in the bible they talk about moses and the Gods he serves. Just name the gods please.
