Actually wait, pretty sure that's just a bullshit marketing attempt to reel in more PC players by making them think their high-end hardware will be utilized. All previous CoD games could be run fine on low-end hardware (CoD isn't exactly a graphics powerhouse).
Not to mention a lot of PC players generally try to distance themselves from CoD since that game evolved on consoles and has a very young playerbase (on average) due to it's simplicity and accessibility.

Hardly any? Star Wars The Old Republic, TERA Online, every other MMO released in the past 5 years. I'm pretty sure EVE Online is pretty staggering on its size as well.

And America is no third world country. Your being babies if you think your internet is slow. Yeah, maybe in rural areas. Kinda like every country ever. Us Australian's are the third world nations when it comes to slow internet. Check out our 10mb/s down 1mb/s up max (if your lucky) in the gold coast (a fairly major city)

Eve Online - 4.7 GB

World of Tanks - 3.5 GB

So yeah, i can see my error, i was comparing to free to play MMOs, thoughi honestly cant see what bloated Lineage or WOW to such numbers as last time i played i downloaded 4-5GB only. Must have had some massive graphyical updates recently or something.

Well, according to studies most of america doesnt even have internet at all, and those that has has dialup level of internet excpeept the big cities. Here the slowest we get is 50 mbps even in rural areas unless you live so deep you need to go wireless which can go slower. USA is very far behind in internet race.

They really need to reign in this space bloat.

Your NOT a PC gamer if you don't use steam. Steam is required for 95% of games.

I dont use steam. Well, i started using it couple weeks ago (though technically i tried it way back in 2003 but hated it/made me problems).
You can go by being a PC gamer without steam, all you need to do is apply a no-steam crack to your installed legal game, which is legal.

Edit: Hell, all of those specs look really high for the minimum specs. 6GB of Ram! 550 Ti! Core 2 Duo processor (okay, not that so much). Are you sure those aren't the recommenced specs for the game NVidia?

I didn't know what landsharking was, so I looked it up. I'm presuming you don't mean what Urban Dictionary is defining the term as; although that would make things interesting and certainly worth the 50 gigs.

game comes out with higher spec requirements on pc . pc gamers complain. games comes out with low requirements pc fans complain that its a bad port.

Low specs =/= bad port. High specs =/= good port. I'd say it's more likely that high specs = bad port, as that suggests poor optimisation. Folks don't complain about low specs; they complain about bad ports and laud low specs as that means more people with older machines can enjoy the game. Folks like good ports with reasonable specs, so that their machine can make a console game look utterly gorgeous (and, as a side consideration, play well too).

That comparison might be moot considering those people who have only 500GB or less probably don't have the specs to play the game in the first place.

Also, even if I would get the game for free, I still wouldn't play it.

50 meg would only take a couple of minutes to download at the most. 50 gig a couple of hours.

If you have a decent internet, and are connected into a good enough router, or possibly the modem itself.
If I were to try and download this, it'd take at least a whole day for me.

Max Payne 3 took two days for me, and that was 30gb. Now I'm on a strange uni cap where, should you use more than 12gb a day, it massively throttles your speed. It'll take about half a week here.
