23/30. Considerably better than I did for the U.K. test, and I'm a British Citizen. Hah. I find American history far easier to remember. And geography.

55% to live in New Mexico. Double my UK score.

Question: The Right to Bear Arms doesn't apply to everyone in the States though. I'm pretty sure convicted felons don't have the right to bear arms, do they?

24/30, I would've had 25 if I had kept my first answer for "What are two Cabinet-level positions?" because I second-guessed myself and changed my answer.

Someone else already made this exact thread...
Strange how this topic is suddenly popular today...I took the test from the other thread and just finished failing the UK one.
I have spawned a great evil upon this board =/

OT: got 80% on this one, but 40% on the one in the other thread. Guess it is mostly down to luck...

16/20. I pass for NY.

<------British.

The ones I got wrong primarily were trivia "Who was the president in WWI" and current working knowelge such as "Who are your current senators" which as a none NY, none US and not looking to immigrate member of the human race I couldnt give two shits about :p

Question I probably should have got right "15) Who vetoes bills? ".

I got a 17/20, And there were no new york questions. Also, I'm highly suspicious of the fact that for every question I got wrong the correct answer was C. This was soooo much easier than the UK one, Just goes to show that very many people who live here are stupid as hell.

29 out of 30 for New York. The only one I missed was :

22) What are two ways that Americans can participate in their democracy?
A. vote and volunteer as a social worker
B. serve on a jury and join a political party
C. write to a newspaper and speak in the United Nations
D. join a civic group and write to a newspaper

I chose B...apparently the correct answer was D.

75% Woop woop.

Quick question: If a senator represents the people of a state, why does the quiz tell me that there are 100 senators? Did you sneak in a few more states while nobody looked? Are all senators twins? Do you maintain an array of cloned backups?

20) What do we show loyalty to when we say the Pledge of Allegiance?
A. the United States
B. the President
C. the country
D. the people of the United States

Uh... what?

I got 20/20, then went back and tried C for that last one which is apparently wrong. So it's saying that the United States isn't the country we pledge allegiance to.
Wait a second, they made the flag the right answer for mine. I'm not allied to a stinkin' piece of cloth.

They can. They just can't vote. Which, yes, is silly. However, the waiting period is extended if you're a crazy. Sometimes. Usually the gun store owner can't be assed to bother with that and will just give you a handgun for $100.

27/30 and I'm a citizen. I passed cause you only need 60% or something to pass. Glad I know enough about my own country to live here. One of the questions was bullshit though. There are four amendments in the constitution that describe who can vote. Describe one. I picked: Any person of any race can vote. WRONG! Wait? only men can vote? wait what?!?!

...There is an amendment that says that white, male landowners are the only ones who can vote. There is NO amendment that says that anyone of any race can vote.

Technically, the test is right.
