So my sister got me this controller: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Shock-Gamepad-Controller-Computer-Games/dp/B004E2EKKG

So I tried using it on Portal and it really wasn't working properly. It recognizes it and I can assign different uses for the buttons, but the analog sticks don't work...at all. I'm wondering if there is some kind of plug in that I should download. It's totally unplayable on the dual shock imposter. I can't turn around or step to the side. Chell just sorta stands there and jumps (I know what you guys are going to quote already :p ).

Do any of you guys own this device? Does it work okay on your games? Any recommendations?

Thanks for taking the time to read this post :)

The buttons work, but the analouges dont? And you installed all the required drivers?
Either that or the controller is broken.

Well, there wasn't a disc included, but when I plugged in the device, I think it might have automatically downloaded the drivers (seeing as it went through an installation process). I'm wondering if there's a plug-in that I can download or something that makes the analog sticks usable when I'm playing games on steam. If not, I guess I could always uninstall the drivers and just install it again.

Thanks anyway :)

Well you should try and find official drivers, I got a similar pad but with a few more buttons and with standard Windows drivers half of it didn't work, and then to top it off half the games don't work well with pads or at all.

All the extras I really have is a gamepad -> keyboard & mouse emulator http://xpadder.com/

Honestly that controller's pretty bad, you'd be better of getting a better one. But yeah you should either reinstall or try the old PC restart method
