It is more satisfying to facilitate the removal of your enemy heart with a spoon, owing to its innate blunt aspects.

If you hear a place is haunted, don't be a badass and try to "investigate". Srsly.

Also, if you see little girls singing creepy lullabies, run in the opposite direction, pronto.

Don't go into the long grass.

I really took this lesson to heart when I was younger. It didn't affect me much, there's not that much of it around. Though it did mean that I was quite possibily the worst pokemon player ever.

What I learned

If you have a massive space fleet, which can easily bomb an entire planet, is still better to send infatry to finish some annoying bugs that are there.

So many explosives can be made from the base materials of home-made soap.
Even comic book heroes can be emo at points in their lives. It shows everyone is allowed angst.
That one does not simply walk into Mordor.

Revolvers are amazing and you need to shoot your targets in order of most alert to least alert.
I like Westerns.

The password to the deputy minister's lift is EREIAMJH. If anybody gets this reference I will love you forever.

EDIT: And I mean ever.
Terry Gilliam's "Brazil". Or, if you like, "ERIAMJH" is the code for "Fly Mode" in Jedi Knight.
The Brazil reference was pretty obvious but major kudos though goes to the cheat code for the fantastic Jedi Knight. That made me nostalgia hard. You sir made my evening.

OT: In Angels and Demons (this is one of many) if you are looking for bad guys whom you have never seen before in a church in Rome, make sure you check out all the ugly looking people in there because they are the most likely villains.

If you are in a crisis and you want to protect your girlfriend, take off most of her clothes. She is now far more likely to make it through alive (assuming she is at least relatively attractive, of course).

Oh, and explosions are never loud enough that you have to cover your ears.

If the world is in major danger of destruction, Will Smith is probably the dude to find. Four of his movies immediately come to mind.

African-American guys always die first in movies, according to the movie Deep Blue Sea.

I don't think that apples to real life though...

Although most common in military, espionage and financial branches, villians can be found in every profession, from biologist to meterologist, from student to fashion designer. Even babysitters and owners of recycling plants may be evil at heart.
