Has anyone here ever found themselves in a situation where they get to use a killer line from a film/game in a real life situation to win an argument/defeat a bully/just for the sake of being funny/awesome?

I'm interested in hearing any stories about how you stuck it to the man perhaps with something like "Hello cutie pie - one of us is in deep trouble!" to your boss/someone stealing your girlfriend/your elder or younger sibling/etc.

In my youth I used to enjoy using Judge Dredd phrases on people calling one oaf who hit me a "Meathead" and threatening to "Dispense justice" if he ever did it again.

It doesn't have to be a line, it can be a sequence of events that made you feel like you were the hero from your favourite film, for example if you escaped from a tricky/dangerous situation using nothing but your wits and agility then I'd like to hear it!

Well it's not a game and it's really morbid but I won an argument with my grandfather once and my closing line was (it was something about politics) "Relax- this won't hurt"

I realize it's a pretty common line but I was quoting Hunter S. Thompson's suicide note.

"For the glory of the motherland! Hurrah!"

That's what you must shout when you're running across a paintball battlefield (in the absence of a real one) as you're fired at. Makes me think of the Red Square charge in the original CoD.

I don't, but that's mainly because my friends won't understand almost all of them. However, I do use such references from a wide variety of things whenever I'm in JD mode (i.e. one of my many inner monologues)...

I've fantasized about kicking my boss down a flight of stairs like Leonidas did to the Persian in 300, but if anyone can say they've never considered doing that they are either a liar or work for themselves. Other than that, when me and my friend are about to do something stupid we call out "Thumbs up, let's do this!" Still hasn't gotten old for us.

Once my girlfriend at the time, wasn't putting out so I stood in front of the TV butt-naked, (obscuring her view) pointed to my schlong and said "you want this don't you?" in the voice of the emporer...

I always thought it would be cool if somebody said something like "Do you wan't me to kick your ass?" to reply: "I want you to try..."

I tried to say "say goodnight" when sparing my Tae Kwon Do coach one time. He kicked me into the near-by wall and said "Any other video game lines you want to quote?"

I use videogame/movie quotes and broken logic which include gaming ref's all the time though i cannot think of anything specifically atm.

One day, when i get to kill a bunch of gangsters, i'll quote this

I use quotes from vidoe games, movies and well known books quite a lot. Also some internet humour, like red vs. blue quotes, but only with certain people.

Just for quoting a Boondock Saints clip you get +100 charisma from my book.

OT: I used to quote a lot of things from Red Alert 2 when I was a kid. I can't remember any of the instances but I know I went around muttering quotes from the Tesla troopers a lot ( "let the juice flow" and "rubber shoes in motion")

...yup!.

Thankfully I stopped when it became a chore.

i've used the iconic Lucas line of "i got a bad feeling about this" many a time

tho i do get the occasional movie one liner here and there. one time my friend was talking and had a smoke in his palm and his other one above it and just catching it out of the corner of my eye, i turned, batted the smoke out of his hand and said "knock it off" ala Jay in Mallrats

not sure how "killer" it was but me and my friends found it hillarious, mostly because we share the same nerdish sense of humor. We were playing paintball and started spouting space marine lines from the "Dawn of War" games when the 4 of us rushed the other team.

Was freaking funny to us, running at them yelling "For the Emperor!", "Purge the Alien!", "Burn Heretic!" and so on... yeah we are all very sad individuals XP

When leaving the class after a particularly bad argument over a group assignment: "Say good-night to the bad guy!"

I use running gag-lines from "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" at an alarming rate...

Things like "Trumpy, NOooooo!" and "Watch out for snakes!"

"I teach: Because I can't do...."

"Save us!"

"My (insert body part here) is tired... Watch out nose!"

"It's (insert celebrty name)..Quick.. get your gun!"

Oooh, when we discussed the depiction of russians in video games, I started shouting out the entire COD 2 potato dialogue in an extremely stupid accent. "These are potatoes, comrade comissar". It's a really weird and unknown quote but everyone seemed to recognize it.

I quoted Lethal Weapon 2 at one point. It was terrible. >_>

This was also before it was on Family Guy.
