While seeing such horrible acts of human cruelty is perceived as a bad thing and sure you would have to be a masochistic freak to actually find this stuff entertaining I still believe this movie is a positive thing.
Why?:
Too many kids are growing up not actually knowing what the holocaust was about and not understanding the gravity of the situation. Heaps of people 'hate on' Jews just because it's a popular thing to do like hating any culture or stereotype. At least this spreads awareness (kind of). Let's just hope that Uwe Boll tries to make it a Non-fictional piece.

Actually that's not true (anymore). And i know that at least "Alone of the Dark" actually turned a profit thanks to DVD sales (probably because many people bought the movie "for teh lulz").Furburt said:

As a german i am doubly pissed at that trailer.
Not because i'm offended or anything (even though i just cannot stand hearing anything about the Third Reich anymore. I have been bombarded with guilt and obsessive fact dropping about that time over YEARS in school, not to mention all those documentaries, little controversies and movies about that time), but because that probably WILL spark a giant controversy in all of media over here and i will be annoyed for weeks thanks to Boll's shitty little project.
EDIT: Actually, i am kinda offended by it. Someone like Boll just shouldn't tackle a topic like this at all, and especially not in this way.
I was just thinking of anyone worse for this job and I can't. I simply can't fathom anyone worse for a serious film about Auschwitz. A couple of names did come to mind, but I'd actually rather see eBaum's World and /b/ make a holocaust movie more than Uwe Boll.
