How is he a troll? Like I said in my earlier post he actually enjoys them. How does that make him a troll?

To me, his wonderful adaptations of video games to movies really brought them to life. Alone In The Dark for example was far more interesting as a movie then a game.

So I ask you, why is it that there is so much ire against such a high caliber director and brilliant man?

To each their own but I do have one question.

Is the sky blue in crazytown? Seriously, I could make better movies about things I pull off the bottom of my shoe. This guy takes games and does to them what EA is currently doing to Dante's Inferno.

How the hell is he a troll? He's merely expressing his own opinion, and if you read the original post the guy is making his opinion known with a knowledge of the area he's talking about. He's watched Uwe Boll's films and so he knows what he's talking about, and so he's made an informed opinion, which we should respect, even if we all do want to see Uwe Boll drowned in acid before he makes another film. And so on. Leave the guy alone, for God's sake. If that's his opinion then that's fine. Don't hassle him for it.

Michael Bay actually isn't a very good director. I only really enjoyed The Island by him.

I don't think he is. We were talking on MSN the other day and Vivaldi was going on and on about how much he enjoyed House of the Dead, and how he doesn't understand why it is hated. He went on to say that the acting and plot was some of the best he has ever watched, and how he didn't understand that Slumdog Millionaire won Best Picture and House of the Dead didn't.

Two things:

1) His ego. I've heard from Susan Arendt that he's not really that bad in person, but the guy's public face is just so fucking aggravating. I can't stand him. He's got an ego the size of all of Texas.

2) His movies may not be completely terrible, but they tend to ignore the source material on a very noticeable level. To the point of changing the entire storyline. I mean, Alone in the Dark the game was about some guy exploring a mansion, the movie was about them exploring a cave and getting killed by monsters.

Disregarding the callings of whether you're a troll or not, I'll assume that what you're saying is true to your word.

Firstly, even if you do absolutely adore Uwe Boll's films, calling him a "high caliber director and brilliant man" and his films "The scripts for these films were brilliant, the art direction and cinematography was golden, and the overall directing, by the man himself, was somthing that greats like Speilberg and Lucas can take some lessons from." is a bit crazy, even if you do absolutely love Boll's films.

If you knew that everyone hates Boll, then surely you should have known that saying that his films are "golden and absolutely brilliant" would make you be labeled as a troll?

You don't give up, do you? Well that's OK, because neither do I. Although I don't enjoy lowering myself to the level of arguing with the odd ignorant person over the internet, I feel I have to right now. Basically, this guy is not a troll. He has an opinion that is different to everyone else. And that is perfectly fine. I liked Twilight. Some people don't like that about me. Do I care? No. Unless they're ignorant enough to be on the hate-wagon. And it seems here you're driving the hate-wagon for Uwe Boll all by yourself. Pulling it along too, without any horses. So yeah, the guy isn't a troll. I'm not the sort to make accusations so we'll leave it at that.
