There once was a time when the Orange Box was hailed as the best deal in gaming history, well I can safely say that thats blown out of the water by this. On Steam the Valve Complete Pack is now only £24.99, down from £139.81, this pack includes all of Valves games, including Portal 2 which normally costs £30 on a non sale day. All I can say is, if you want the definitive PC collection, buy now. Contains:
Counter-Strike
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero
Condition Zero Deleted Scenes
Counter-Strike: Source
Day of Defeat
Day of Defeat: Source
Deathmatch Classic
Half-Life
Half-Life 2
Half-Life 2: Episode One
Half-Life 2: Episode Two
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast
Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
Half-Life: Source
Half-Life Deathmatch: Source
Blue Shift
Opposing Force
Left 4 Dead
Left 4 Dead 2
Portal
Portal 2
Ricochet
Team Fortress 2
Team Fortress Classic

The trick is they don't feel a loss, since it's all digital and they're the top of the food chain. They get less profits by putting it on special, but the cost per unit sold to them is negligible.

Anyway, that's a great pack. Sadly I own...all but 3 of those games so it's not for me, but highly recommended for other people.

EDIT: Can't seem to find it on the Australian Steam. That's disappointing.

i think its that most of these games already have turned a profit so it doesn't matter
But that's completely ignoring the EA way of milking a IP till it dies and then selling it again with a new twist - A zombie game!

It is almost a shame that I already own all the games I want from the pack. Which happens to be most of them.

It doesn't really cost them anything to sell their own games through Steam. And even so, they could hand out cars made of $100 bills to everyone who passes the office and still have enough to buy the entire solar system twice.

And my PC can't play almost any of them. Great.

If I buy the pack now, will I be able to transfer it into another PC in the future? *is unaware of how Steam works* My guess is no, right?

No, I think Steam allows you to download games again on a different computer, go to Steam Support for help

Actually, yes! I'm quite sure if you get another PC, all you have to do is reinstall Steam, and all your purchased games will still be there, ready to download.

Also, this is insane in the best kind of way.

Buy it now. When you get a better PC, you will still own all of those games through Steam, and you will be allowed to download them again.

I already have most of it, I only need Portal 2 and L4d2 so me buying it now would be pretty damn pointless. And I did spend 60 euros yesterday on SC2, so no more buying games for me for a while.
